I picked up a used Xiaomi scooter, confident with the knowledge I gained here, I dug deep into the heart of the unit.
Removed the battery (10s3p) with a old school BMS on top.
No voltage at xt60 discharge port,
5v at charge port
First charged the battery using my benchtop PS, I had to put it in PS mode to charge the battery and it was at 36v and it took charge
Charged it up to 39v but NO voltage still at discharge ports
Used the discharge PORT to charge as I don't have an adapter for the charge port.
Cut the shrink wrap open and found that the balance wire (nickel strip) was broken.
Used my new handy dandy welder and solder to add a strip of nickel to fix that, checked continuity and confirmed the fix is good.
still NO voltage out of discharge port
I am kinda stumped. [ I tested the scooter function with different batt and it WORKS]
1. The BMS is definitely in hibernation
How do I wake up the BMS (temped to splash some starbucks on it to wake it up ;-)_
