So I bought a this unit. And its turning out to be a bit of a mistake.
This is turning into inverter school for me.

Originally it was used in a greenhouse, and after that it sat for at least 2 may 3 years.
Hooked it up to a battery. Fires up but hums like crazy and draws around 15 amps.
Open it up and find on the mofet board
Multiple surface mount capacitors free or almost free.
Problem is I think a mouse got in and peed on the that area...
So. I mounted new capacitors on it.
But seems to have the same draw and hum.
I have 240v/120v on the output.
So I got my scope out and am probing the transformer input.
Don't think it looks correct, wondering if anyone has more insight, and can direct me.

If you have not already, clean all that mess off of the circuit board. Toothbrush works really good.
Yeah it's been cleaned quite well. Though a toothbrush would have been a good idea.

If the other does not work maybe upload the firmware https://solar.se.com/us/en/product/conext-xw-120-240-60hz/
Was a working system so I don't think that's the problem right now.
I suspect the switching is not correct. Does one half wave look right.
Because it seems one side is not switching on the half that had bad caps.

So when I disconnect the transformer this is the waveform I get for a second or so, before trips out low voltage on the ac side.

You checked the transformer wiring terminal configuration? X1/X2/X3/X4

The green tape on those wires is suspicious, unless you did that.
Yes that is correct. I had marked those wires. With the green tape.

So I did some probing with the scope last night. And in my mine something doesn't make sense.
On the output of the board to the primary coil with it disconnected,
I get the waveform as shown above across the outputs.

But if I probe from B+ or B-
One output gives me the same wave. The other output has nothing...

I'll have to get pictures later.

Yes I assumed it was the side with bad caps that I repaired. But it seems like it the other side that's dead.
And it is in way better shape, no corrosion or anything...

No chance anyone has a schematic drawing of the
Driver circuit?
