XWPro6848 + Pytes V5 Closed Loop

I have the insight facility.
I wired the pins for RS485 but I believe the dipswitch configuration on the Pytes is not the correct to give out the SOC.
I was gonna try the CAN pin out, but might run into the same situation .

Not necessarily looking for closed loop but atleast SOC.
The Schneider battery monitor could give you SOC control and it would be visible on Insight

Sol ark does not support closed loop with every battery manufacturer and neither does Schneider. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's not funny
Schneider with Discover AES batteries work well. No issues. Plug and Play SOC CL.

Sol-Ark is really an agnostic system according to the company. Sol-Ark partners with several battery manufacturers (8 at present) and supports closed loop with those partners. It will make a closed loop connection with other batteries who use the same communications protocols as the officially partnered products. However, you may have to custom make a communications cable to get the correct pin outs between battery and inverter. And you may find that Sol-Ark will not provide technical support for communicating with solving a non-partner battery issue.

But the real benefit is that Sol-Ark takes no actions against any brand or make of battery to prevent them from communicating. So most can get them talking quite easily.

I don't want to derail this thread but i have read sol-ark is telling people no closed loop for EG4 batteries or they will void the warranty, you can search the internet for information.

Hmm. There is no searchable EG4 on the Sol-Ark website. The warranty makes no mention of voiding with EG4 batteries.

What I do strongly believe is that Sol Ark will provide technical support for persons who have the batteries Sol Ark has partnered with on their website. Otherwise, they specifically state that their inverter is battery agnostic. But the installer will have to make the connections and set the language protocol and see if they can get their battery to work. Sol Ark will not spend resources doing this for you.

So please, when you make this comment, understand that in some states, the governing law creates warranty rights and if you have not been told this directly by Sol Ark, do not post it unless you can back it up. Otherwise, you just look like an EG4 customer.

Here you go

For the record I don't own one EG4 product.
I can back up my information, some information you shared was definitely not true.
I will not be posting anymore about this, it is not helpful to the Original Poster.

Yes, exactly what I said. NOT ON THE SOL ARK WEBSITE. I don't know anything about Carlos. But what he said is if you yourself connect an EG4 battery and make an error in the wiring and this results in damage to the inverter, this is not covered under Sol Ark warranty. And I bet any damage you cause to the inverter thru your actions is not covered under the warranty for any brand of battery, not just EG4. In fact, almost every thing I buy whether electric or not says no warranty for damage, abuse, misuse, etc. This is no different.
