About to drop some coin and actually purchase some more batteries. I like the Yixiang V2 box, and in a couple weeks, they will be coming with the V19 JK BMS. I'm getting 8x DIY kits in all, with 70x new MB31 cells for 5x of the kits, and then transplant the 48x cells that I do have, into the other 3.

Anybody have any other experiences with them? I'm ordered cells and all through them.

Comparing prices to 3 years ago is INSANE! Prices have come down dramatically for Cells!

I got a quote for shipping with DDP that was much lower than expected. Anybody have an explanation for why?

I’ve only had experience with Luyaun, which I think deal with the same manufacturer of cases.

When I placed my order (case and 8 cells) early April DDP was on par of my similar order in 2024, cell prices were way down. I think I paid $70 for 280ah a cell last year but mb31 were like 50. So overall I should get like 15% more capacity for at least $100 usd cheaper price. Of note I also am just getting the Jane plane 8s 200a JK so nothing fancy as far as BMS and comms goes.

Moving away from seplos ?

Not sure if they want me sharing, but when buying 70 cells, the MB31's are $49 ea, and when buying 8x boxes, its $379/ea box.

I'm getting 8x Boxes, 70x Cells, 2x Rolling Carts for them, and shipping DDP is around $8500.
Sounds good , so no issues with Tariffs, thru Yixiang , with your large order ? You are buying the eve mb31's thru Yixiang ?

Am Interested in buying 2 of V2 boxes , 1 skate for these 2 boxes , and the MB31's eve 314ah cells x32. Do you know what prices , I should get on only buying 2 V2 kits ? Is there anything , I should ask for , that is not listed on their site ?

Hope to hear how your order went , and how it arrived for you ? Thanks

When did you place your order?

There has always been an economy of scale when buying cells. Shipping not a whole lot.

I have 2 of the Yixiang V2 box's and 2 of the Yixiang V2 box's. They have performed great for me. Are you having them shipped from a USA warehouse or China? I placed an order for some automatic fire extinguishers for my diy boxes without this equipment and the tariffs were significant. I would imagine it would be more significant with a large purchase from vendors located in China.

I'm going to give it a shot, the Seplos has been good to me, but the features offered by this Yixiang V2 box has swayed me towards it.

Miaoxin from Yixiang has assured the the price is DDP, and when I asked about tarrifs, she said it was all included. Now, just because she said it doesn't make it true, im curious/concerned that the delivery is going to hit stateside and they are going to demand more money.

As for pricing, you will have to reach out to them on Alibaba, I could tell the pricing changed drastically based on quantity, and same with shipping.

I haven't ordered yet. More than likely will place the order today.

I am having them shipped from China. The US stock does not have the V19 BMS yet. The US stock is also more expensive.

Im not in a hurry at all, so price is king for me.

All invoices are not the same.

Commercial Invoice
A commercial invoice is a document created as proof of an international transaction between a buyer and a seller for legal purposes. It can primarily be used to calculate tariffs, determine taxes, and obtain customs clearance for the shipment of goods in and out of a country.

Sales invoice ("Regular" Invoice)
This is what we classically think of when we hear the term "invoice." A sales invoice gets sent to a buyer to request payment for a product or service. It contains fields such as seller information, buyer's address, delivery date, payment terms, items and their rates, and the total price; it also has information the buyer can use to make payments, such as bank details and payment links.

Can you elaborate on how this applies to this situation? Are you saying that Tariffs are not applicable with a Sales Invoice? I don't understand

point is if you need 70 we can sell you those...sorry for not being more clear.
Don't need anything.
1. I am located in Europe and not affected by any tarrifs
2. Currently running 12 of the seplos 280 diy cases, which is more than enough.

FWIW,

I ordered from yixiang mid March (1 case + 16 mb31). Paid up front. I was worried about tariffs impacting delivery too, but I received everything mid April with no problems(ie i didn't pay a penny more than what I was quoted, and paid, in march).

I'm not saying you won't have any issue due to the ongoing tariff matters, but I figured I'd share my experience with the same seller.

Thank you for the info. Fingers crossed mine will go as smoothly as yours.

I am trying to get this paid and ordered, but I am grilling her on some questions and waiting to pay before I am satisfied with her responses, and the time difference always makes this difficult.

I had 3-4 questions for Amy at Luyaun took about a week between initial chat and payment sent.

Best of luck.

One invoice is presented to you for payment ie sales invoice, another commercial invoice is used for the tariff. When tariffs are low both invoices are the same, when tariffs are high then they diverge.

For the first 2 days, Miaoxin was responding to my questions within minutes throughout the whole day it seemed like. It has slowed down maybe because of the weekend?

Those of us without "Tariff Experience" are probably waiting with bated breath to hear how it turns out for you - inexpensively, I hope. I shall have to wait till all this nonsense is past before I jump into battery building, unfortunately. As an ex-Visalia resident, it's nice to hear from someone from Tulare - It's much cooler here than when I lived in CA. We used to go to the Visalia mall just to cool off.
I'll be interested to hear how your delivery cost comes out.

Very cool, I was born and raised in Visalia for the first 20 years of my life. Very fond memories of the Visalia Mall, but unfortunately I don't think I have been back in the last 10 years... To get a little off-topic, what made you move? Couldn't have been our wonderfully hot summers!

She has assured me that there will be NO additional fees to my price. I guess we'll see. I paid for them today.

5x DIY kits w/ JK V19 BMS w/ Double Hole Bus Bars to match MB31 (estimated to ship in 10-15 days)
3x DIY kits w/ JK V19 BMS w/ Single Hole Bus Bars to match existing 280ah cells that I have (estimated to ship in 10-15 days)
2x Rolling Carts
70x EVE MB31 Cells (Guaranteed Grade A and tested/matched by them, we'll see when they show up) (estimated to ship in 1-2 business days)
Shipping/Taxes/DDP

Total: $9081.46

I did the math for 5x kits and 70x cells to get a $/kWh, including shipping/taxes etc, and with some rough math to exclude the shipping cost of the 3x additional DIY kits, it comes out to about $100-105/kWh. Absolutely wild. 3-4 years ago, 16x 280ah cells were $2200 alone, and the Seplos cases were ~$450. Thats $185/kWh!!! This means prices are almost half what they were!

Continuing off-topic, before Visalia, I was an Air Force Maintenance officer '67-72, and afterwards, I left Visalia and went back in the AF in '85 and retired in 2001 in Washington state.
The fact that the prices are 1/2 what they were is amazing to me! I was getting kind of depressed hearing about the tariff's, so hearing good news like that gives me a much better perspective! I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and do some ordering at some point, no matter what the cost.
Thanks for the good news! In another two weeks, it should all be resolved for you, price-wise. I'd like to hear how it comes out. - Terry

Could be or a Holiday like the recent International Workers' Day. She told me she would be offline for a couple of days. I know sometimes I send a message 2:00 PM, Central Time (CT) and it is 1:00 AM, in China. lol If she does not answer in a day or two, I will resend the message.

Yes price is king!

Would like to share my ordering experience with Miaoxin Tie from Yixiang. Just as another reference to share.

This effort started after viewing a YouTube video from Andy's Off-Grid Garage about the Yixiang DIY box. Andy seemed to validate the authenticity of this particular Yixiang V2 DIY box. Previously, I was getting frustrated while searching the Alibaba sites. Meaning I'm not quite sure of what I would be receiving.

In my case I needed to prepare myself with the idea of ordering on Alibaba. The thought of receiving a bad cell and dealing with the return process meant an adding a couple spare cells to avoided further build delay. All in all, it taken me two and a half months to put my own trust issues aside about ordering thru Alibaba. During this time, I found Miaoxin Tie easy to work with and responsive to my endless questions. My method of communications with Miaoxin has been via email (miaoxintie@gmail.com).

Requested Quote:
Qty 2 - Yixiang V2 horizonal DIY kit with Version 19, JKBMS, with Double-Hole Bus Bars to match MB31 cells
Qty 34 - EVE MB31 314ahr, 8000 cycle, double-hole cells (Guaranteed Grade A and tested/matched)
DDP shipment (custom duties are the responsibility of the seller)

Quote recieved May 14th:
EVE MB31 Unit Price: 53 USD
DIY Kit V2 (BMS is V19) Unit Price: 389 USD
Sea Freight: 852 USD
Total Price: 53*34+389*2+852=3432 USD
Sea Freight to your address, price includes customs duty, shipping time is 28-35 days

That works out to $106 / Kw. Wow!

Just two technical concerns I have and will need to find my own solution during build process.

1) Lack of fusing in the Yixiang DIY V2 horizontal box.
Yes, at least it has the circuit breaker which I like as a disconnect, but a T-class fuse is missing since we are dealing with LFP cells. Thus, I will need to come up with my own external solution.
Just a note: I did notice the Yixiang grey vertical box had both fusing (ANL fuse?) and the circuit breaker. But in my view, it had additional concerns that took too much research time to invest to determine if mounting cells sideways was a good thing or not for the long term. Additionally, the grey vertical DIY box appears to be top heavy by design without a means to secure to a wall. So, I'm going horizontal since I can still stack three boxes within a reasonable space.
2) Double two hole terminals are not assembled by EVE (no dots).
Yes, I will need to trust that Yixiang has a good process of mounting double hole terminals to individual MB31 cells. Thus, I will need to take additional care to support the double hole terminals while applying final torque to individual flexible bus bars. I've taken noticed of the forum discussions about the potential of snapping off the entire "double hole terminal" when assembling flexible bus bars. This is a risk that I must except. Or at EEL (Howard), is advertising original EVE factory install double hole terminals (with colored dot) on MB31 cells.
So now, its time to order. Why must this process feel like its such leap of faith!
