Victron Quattro 2020

This manual covers the Victron Quattro 5000 and 10000 (note this manual does not cover the Quattro 3000).

The Victron Quattro is the big brother to the Victron Multiplus and Victron Multiplus Compact. The main distinction that I am aware of between the 3 (apart from power rating and available voltages)

Continuous Power Output: 4000W / 8000W
30 minute rating : 5000W / 10000W
30 second rating: 10000W / 20000W

Victron's branding and naming scheme could use some work, its pretty fragmented and sometimes nonsensical. Ignore the names (and focus only on the products available in 120V if you are North American) and it becomes a lot simpler.

If you ignore the name, determine (1) the power you need (2) the voltage you need (3) the number of AC inputs/outputs you need you will have likely narrowed it down to 1 or 2 choices.

First, As far as I know all of Victron's inverters and inverter/chargers are built from the same platform and operate in roughly the same fashion. There are differences in features, voltages, capabilities etc, but they all share the same core platform and design.

Inverter/Chargers by power:
2000W = Multiplus Compact
3000W = Multiplus, Quattro
5000W = Quattro
10000W = Quattro

Inverter/Chargers by voltage:
12v = Multiplus, Multiplus Compact, Quattro
24v = Multiplus, Multiplus Compact, Quattro
48v = Quattro

Inverter/Chargers by distinguishing features:
Victron Multiplus Compact = 2kW, Single AC input, Single AC output
Victron Multiplus = 3kW, Single AC input, Dual AC output
Victron Quattro = 3kW, 5kW, 10kW, Dual AC input, Dual AC output

Inverter only:
Victron Phoenix: 250-1200W, 3000W
