G4 CMI (first in twenty years) predicted to hit tomorrow?

Just sharing for smarter people to discuss. I am much too ignorant to weigh in. But I like to be conservative so in the morning I'm going to power my system down, unplug the batteries and the solar panels. If all seems well late Saturday morning, I'll put the system back online.

Gut feeling is this won't be an issue, but better safe than sorry I suppose.

I should have studied harder in school.

 
I posted this pic and a couple of others in a thread in the general discussion area, but thought I'd post this one here for the EMP afficionados. Every UPS in our grid-connected house has been going crazy for almost an hour now with this G4 solar storm tonight. I had to shut two down, and think I'm going to need to do the same for the one powering the router as it's driving me crazy, a floor away. BUT... I walked over to my off grid shed buildings, amd everything there was FINE! There are two UPS there, and no problem at all. Tells us something! Anyway, hope you enjoy the pic.
