Yeah, I think I’m opening the breaker to the grid before I go to work in the morning. Probably the best thing to do. I’ve got one big house surge arrestor for what ever that’s worth.Wow. First G4 watch since 2005.

Maybe I'm just not in a zone that gets hit by these things (?) but I have never had a single piece of electronics be affected by anything but car accidents, bad weather or lightning strikes.
Why put extra worry into your life about something that you can't change or stop from happening?
If something from space affects your life in any way you're not going to be the only one. It's going to affect everyone equally.

Edit: What I've learned: Light arrives to us in 499 seconds and that's when you'd theoretically get burned. Solar storm arrives hours later.

I'm not that worried about it, I have some surge arrestors as well. I see zero negatives of disconnecting the breaker.
Same. I just want to see the Aurora in PA...
If you could mitigate the risks/ impacts from something that you can't stop from happening, why wouldn't you?

My opinion? It will affect the grid if anything, off grid probably not.
If stuff fails, I still have a warranty.

Exactly….. mitigating risks is easy …..eliminating them is almost impossible …I prefer the former as it’s easier…and considerably tilts the game in your favor…
I would feel like S*** if somthing happened and I did nothing to “try “ to prevent it.
That’s a lot of work ,money and time sittin there..
