AK_Offgrid

Background
Live off grid in Alaska (southern Kenai Peninsula). No, I am not a prepper although I am prepared with food stores, water, etc - we do have earthquakes and only road out of here unless you take the water and I don't have a boat. My degree is in Computer Science but you could no pay me enough to program for a living. Nothing but respect for those that do, just not for me. I made and make my living installing/fixing computer systems (PCs/servers/networks/security/cameras/etc). Was a cop in the Air Force pushing a drug dog - or maybe he pushed me. I am a ham radio operator (AL4Z) and tinker with all things SMB (rpi/Arduino/ESP/Beagle/etc) and write programs for me. Love to watch the Cook Inlet and Redout volcano (puffs a lot but not much more) and the moose that come through, occasionally we get to see a brown bear or lynx.
