    EPEver U Power Inverter/Charger

39Mamaw - Sorry to hear about the batteries. I use the EPEver MPPT controller (had the 20A now have the 60A). Love the EPEver. My Tracer is older school than 'profile'. You can set the charging amps but that is it. The charger will do up to 60A but I have it set to 30A. It worked well for...

    Measuring Battery Draw

Thank you for the reply. You are right, I do not need to replace my Solar Charge Controller. Going with 24v. Any recommendations on the 24v-12v converters? The load is mostly LED lights so a 1.25A-2A load capacity would be enough. Want something efficient or as efficient as a converter can be.

    Measuring Battery Draw

Thanks for the info. I have a pretty good idea of the load, we have been living off-grid using the existing system for almost 10 years. I was wanting the meter to determine how effecient (read as ineffecient the Trace is) but it occurred to me that is irrelevant as it is being replaced so...

True and since most loads don't change much over time it makes for a baseline. Your comment made me go break out the clamp on Amp meter and take a peak. I know more now than I did 20 minutes ago. Thanks

Interesting - do you mind if I ask what you power from the batts?

Anyone have experience with the ECPC-24v (22Ah 24v)?

Looking to replace my current batts. Presently, I have 3 100Ah Concord Xtender 12v AGMs. They have been absolutely great batteries. If they died on my tomorrow I would have nothing but good things to say about them. They are over 10 years old. Concord does not make a LiFePO4 batt, sorry to...

Thank you, this pretty much seals it. Time to buy the meter and stop thinking about it. I agree on the clamp on meters but never really tried it for monitoring so I figured I would throw it out there. Next stop - Amazon.... Thanks for the help.

Thank you, that helps. I have looked at them in the past but never purchased because I just did not know if they would provide reliable results. Analysis paralysis I guess. Thanks and have great rest of your week.

My existing solar system is up of: 6 100w Mono 12v panels (3s2p) 3 Concord Sun Xtender 100Ah 12v AGM batteries (3p) 1 EPEver 40A MPPT Solar Controller 1 Trace 1512 inverter/charger (very old school) Breaker at each batt for isolation/maintenance. Main breaker just in front (batt side) of bus...

    EPEver U Power Inverter/Charger

Good day - hope everyone is doing well. Looking to upgrade my existing system. Current system: 6x100w mono 12v PVs, 1 EPEver MPPT 40A controller, 1 Trace 1512 inverter/charger, 3xConcord AGM 100Ah batts in parallel. Used in a off-grid cabin year round. Use a 3500w gene for backup/filler...
