Hi Steve - I gave a distributor a call in the UK - they are rough quoting around 1700 pounds sterling...so...not cheap. I really like the idea though, and I imagine there are cheaper versions that do the same thing - thanks for the heads up. Cheers Alistair

Thanks for your input. I'd be inclined to go with your first option. Unless I could find the parts necessary to change 12v to 24v on the alternator. As you said, I still need a smart charger in any event.
