Just want to add a comment to the reselling of a OEM’s product that does not meet their in house spec by another company. Usually there is a method for release of liability so the product does not come back to the original manufacture with the product for an issue or claim. So the original...
I figure that if set four six or eight batteries on a scale then zero the scale, and add 660 lbs to the top of the stack of batteries the scale will read 660 lbs. So the weight will exert the pressure of 660lbs on each battery cell face, when the batteries are removed from the scale and placed...
When you purchase a prefab battery wrapped in Mylar tape and placed in a plastic case stuffed with foam is there the proper amount of compression applied to the cells during the top off charging where cells begin to expand?
The need for supports on either side of a single cell is as necessary if not more than stacked cells in compression, because as two compressed cells expand against each other the pressure from the opposing sides rises, during charging above 3.4V.
Applying locktight to the bolts or double bolting is necessary as bolts tend to loosen with repeated cycles of increased pressure. To avoid the added requirement of retorking the bolts periodically to maintain the proper tension.
I just purchased four EVE 304 cells from Docan through Jenny via email. They were available in the US TX warehouse and arrived in 1week. I don’t have a BMS yet or power supply with a electric load to test the voltage drop during high load, but the resting voltage on the cells as they arrived and...
