I have a Signature Solar 5000 ES powering a single mini-split and charging a battery bank that has been in service since early summer. A recent new development is that it requires a complete shutdown (removal of AC, solar, and battery connections) to re-train the MPPT.
The MPPT gets stupid...
How many reprograms is too many?
Using the VE Configure software, are these settings being written to a flash memory that will degrade over time?
Specifically, Is having multiple configurations for different weather conditions with frequent changes going to be bad long term?
One of my Jakiper batteries now indicates 93.0 amp hours instead of 102.9 on the LCD display.
I have not checked any further than this.
Did I really lose ~10 amp hours - or do I need to do a reset, or something else?
There are 10 cycle on the battery at this point.
