- Grew up off grid, built 2 van-scale systems, currently working on an AC well pump PV system and a major upgrade for a neighbor (5kW production, 1,000Ah 24v). I'm a mechanical engineer (Cal Poly SLO 2009), father is an EE who designed and built our main property system and is my primary peer reviewer. I am *not* a professional installer or electrician.
