Hi. i wanted to post about my experience with Watts247. I ordered a LVX6048 and it was shipped out the same day and i received it within 3 working days, so i am very satisfied.
Thanks
Hi, well i guess 1st you should figure out what you want to power with a solar in watts, then how much can you afford to spend on solar. regarding a switch, Inverters will run the batteries down to you preset limit then run and or charge from the grid.
I am running a grundfos 2HP pump depth 360' , runs at about 2.9Kw/ surge is around 12K with a signeer M6048D (true low frequency) all in one. no problem at all. i have 4.8Kw of panels. this inverter is usually stocked in cali @1899...
I have purchased up till now 48 - CATL 230AH , 12 - 40AH LTO, 3- Seplos BMS, 2 - JK BMS, among other items from EEL battery, (previously recommended on this forum) and had a good experience. the USA stock batteries came within a week, last order was ordered Thursday night shipped Friday (from...
According to watts247, the LVX6048 is a high frequency inverter with an auto transformer., therefore only 2X surge capactity vs 3X for true low frequency inverters. i have yet to find the surge rating for the LVX6048, if anyone has that i would love to know.
I emailed them on sept 13th, i received this reply sept 19th :
Dear Jim,
We wouldn’t recommend adding up to 448.8 VDC because it’s too close to the Max MPPT voltage.
As you mentioned, the temperature will affect the voltage and it depends on the PV temperature coefficient.
Please kindly...
I did 2 updates for a LVX 6048, (not the same as yours but similar) Make sure you have the right firmware for your unit (LVX6048WP) one of the 2 units i had the same problem, i had to try a few times to get it to work, be patient
Its high frequency, i checked with MPP solar. they say "it was tested to 2X with resistive loads in a lab but do not recommend going over 6K" see my other post regarding this unit. BTW i have 2 of them.
1st let me say on the resource that Will Prowse started here, Will has performed "Yeoman Service" here due to his general enthusiasm and his experience with this and other technologies. Thank you.

I got 2 Seplos 48v 150A 16S w/can bus-rs485 from eel battery and got them 2 weeks later, i have also ordered 32 batteries and never had a problem (batteries arrived around a week after order)...
Hello All
I am getting ready to install an MPP LVX4048, according to the manual on the MPP solar site <https://www.mppsolar.com/manual/SPLIT%20PHASE%20LV/LVX6048%20manual-20220817.pdf>
it says on page 7
INVERTER MODEL LVX 6048
Max. PV Array Open Circuit Voltage 450 Vdc
PV Array MPPT Voltage...
the M12048D is 2799.00 USA stocked and is low frequency <https://www.sigineer.com/product/solar-power-inverter-for-home-12000-watt-48v-to-120v-240v-w-120a-mppt-controller/> i have a M6048D and plan on getting a M12048D soon for a 2nd system
I emailed MPP Solar support about the surge rating on the LVX6048, here is the reply:
"The surge capacity on all our inverters is 2X for 5 sec, but this is the result of testing with “resistive load” in the laboratory.
Therefore, we always advise the customer to only use “the nominal maximum...
Solar is NOT the way to go IF you assume everything (electrical reliability and cost) stays about the same and/or you dont have the money and or time to spend on it. If mining crypto it probably can/could save/make you money depending on the coin and profits. Solar (off grid system) and having a...
Hi, i will give you my experience with this subject. I have a grundfos 2HP 10GPM deep well pump sitting at 360 feet (water level about 300'). the specs on the pump say about 3KW running, and around 13KW to start. I use an "anypower" (aka sungold power, sigineer) 6KW 48v Low freq inverter, specs...
I too have a M6048D powering a 2HP grundfos pump set at 350' deep on a system for my well and booster pump (14 sunpower 327 watt/LTO batteries), no problems, i previously had a MPP LVX6048 running it that i thought was a low frequency inverter, but turns out its not, so i put the sigineer in its...
