Problem solved. The unit came with two RS485 cables. One is labeled RJ45 Pin 1-2 and the other is labeled RJ45 Pin 7-8. I switched from the latter to the former cable and it works!- Reaction score: 2

Wasn't able to get the RS485 comm working; my solution was to run the EG4 3000EHV-48 without the battery comm. Fortunately there are User (Program 5) defined setup instructions in the manual. Need the USB driver for the USB/RS485 dongle provided with the unit before I can try to upgrade the...- Reaction score: 0
