diy solar

Brett Jepp

Background
Been living off grid for 6 years in Utah, harsh winters and hot summers. Have a 30 foot yurt as common space, lived in a camper while building a tiny house on wheels. Started with cheap 200w renogy PWM kits. Have lived in the tiny house full time for 3 years and have slowly been upgrading both solar systems after ruining a couple sets of batteries and realizing the need for better equipment and setup.
Current or Future Solar Power System
System 1: 600 watts solar in series, 460ah lead acid, Victron mppt 100/50, Victron BMV monitor, progressive dynamics mighty mini distribution panel/charge converter, generator backup.
System 2: same as system 1 but with 400 watts solar and battery bank outside in the cold.
