Another data point. Installed 10k HD Wave inverter in Dec 2018. Just went out, with 18xB7 error code.
The good news. My system has the wifi connector and all power production is on the web. A quick online chat with SolarEdge support confirmed the error being an internal error. An RMA was...
Holy Sh!t Storm - That is a ton of battery power. I have 12v 600 amp hr battery for my RV and I thought this was on the bigger end of things. Your proposed system would be 4 times my battery pack. My recommendation would be to start with two 24v batteries, maybe two of them with 8 cells each...
@ma2t, @Checkthisout, @time2roll - Thanks for the Cudos. Battery has been in service for several months now. Working well so far with no issues. The newer Sterling B2B seems to run pretty cool, so that's good. There is 230 watts of solar for keeping everything charged up when parked.
I just installed a new DIY 12v 600 amp hr battery and upgraded my B2B charging to the new Sterling BB12120.
I have set the Victron Multiplus 12/3000 at an Absorption and Float voltage of 14.4 / 13.6. The Sterling has two lithium charging curves of 14.4/13.8 or 14.2/13.6. My power out from the...
Currently there is a 12V 300 amp hr Relion RB300 battery in my Ford Transit Campervan. The battery positive goes to my Victron Lynx and is currently protected by a 400 amp Class T fuse. My largest draw is my Victron Multiplus 12v 3000.
I plan on replacing the Relion with a 12v 600 amp hr DIY...
As somebody with a daughter of similar age, I can't help but think.... "Where is her Dad?" Her dad should be helping her with these things. At least I would be if it were my daughter. Things like.
Don't go dangling that HOT battery lead. Yikes that makes me nervous. Disconnect the ground of the...
My installation is 4 years old with the newer HD Wave inverter. 26 optimizers. No failures. The installation is by the beach in SoCal so roof temps aren't that bad and the inverter is outside in the shade so it doesn't get cooked. Curious if excess heat is a source of increased failures?
This is the induction cooktop I have. Duxtop Single Burner
Even though this is only a single burner, it is a sizable unit. I am VERY glad I didn't get the double burner. The power draw on this unit is a function of the heat setting. It does not cycle between full power and off while in use.
Yes...
It's a 2021 Ford Transit 350 High Roof Extended cargo van up fit by Sportsmobile.
The van is mostly electric, except an Espar gas heater. The high draw items are a water heater, induction cooktop, microwave and air conditioning. Running AC is not really an option unless you have a Godzilla...
This would be my first battery build. Things look pretty straight forward, but I thought I would run it by the experts.
I was inspired by this build. From this Thread
But would change up the form factor to be 2 rows of 4 cells rather than one row, so it will fit. Looking something like...
Assuming I use 8 x 3.2 volt 280 amp hr cells for a total power of 560 12v amp hrs, what is the best configuration. Two 4 cell batteries with individual BMS's or one 8 cell battery with one BMS (every other cell in Parallel)? Is there a preferred method, or is it just all pros and cons?
I would...
