Something to consider... my concern is more for when i'm away and the camp is left unheated for a week or two. I can drive to my camp year round so the easy fix would be to bring them home with me and charge from home. Again, if i understand the chart that was posted, i should have nothing to...
Update...
Parallel charged for approximately 3 hours. Each Battery showed same Voltage. Voltage was measured during charge (13.8) and with charger disconnected (13.4). Took batteries off the charger and removed the parallel connection. Batteries showed some improvements but were again showing...
Where are you getting the 700W from? forgive me... i'm a NOOB:giggle:. Even though my FIRMAN 3083 is 3000W it has Eco feature so it runs at lower idle unless a heavy load demands more power. Not sure if this makes a difference. I e-mailed Samlex for a firmware update. Your continuous input is...
So if i match 2x12V in a series string, i could connect to another series string of 2x12v in parallel even if they are different types, ah rating, new vs old, brand...
My current bank consists of 2x12v 82.5ah + 2x12v 82.5ah for a total of 24V 165Ah. If i read correctly, i could add 2x12v 105Ah...
I'm considering purchasing a Power Star 24V Inverter/Charger model LW1000. I've been researching various systems and my understanding has significantly improved since i've started but i still have lots to learn. This post is as i currently understand but i may be wrong. That's why i'm turning...
I just purchased a SAMLEX EVO 2224. I saw there's a space to connect a device if your generator has a remote. From what i understand it could start your generator remotely when your batteries get low... better put some research cause i might be wrong. In my case, my Firman 3083 has a remote but...
I have set the samlex at 25Amps. It's default setting is 40Amps. My question is... Is it waste to have a 60Amp Charge controller if i can't charge at more than 25?
Rookie here... refresh my memory as to how you come up with 'at 540W i should be under 25amps Max output'. Is it 540/24=22.5? What...
UPDATE
After charging as suggested above, the batteries showed 13.2V and 13.6V 4hours after they were removed from the charger.
Hoping this is an indicator of minimal damage and a long life ahead!
--UPDATE--
I updated the firmware of the EVO2224 and my RC Plus to Version .79 and .31 respectively. With the new features on the remote, i selected charging profile 3 " 2=3stage type 2" as suggested above and in approx 2.5 hours i went from 25ish Volts to Float. Absorption Exit is set at 4A...
