Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

Thanks to all who commented. Charged the battery with a 240v lithium charger overnight and turned Green at about 14v, disconnected and left it resting for a while and tested again at 13.4v. Installed it back in the van and connected everything up and reset the shunt, and whoop, whoop we started...

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

I'm still no further forward with this issue, and Renogy is taking far too long to come back to me... The DCDC charger seems like it's stuck on the "boost" charging algorithm and only producing 0.1 amp to both batteries... Does anyone know if the BMS kicks in what state the DCDC charger will...

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

Thanks, I'm actually trying it right now.... with the van on. ? It's doing my head in... Sorry Mike, just read your post. No, it's the old-school Renogy battery without a coms port - the biggest bang for my money at the time, regret it now. If the BMS kicks in, would it still show a green...

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

I have a Bluetooth temp sensor in my battery compartment, my battery compartment is already insulated and never goes below 3 degrees. I've had the van running for hours, I've also had the diesel heater on previously, and the temperature hasn't changed anything. It certainly cant hurt to try...

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

Sorry bud, disconnected the dead PV cable, and it still has the same results. When I test the connection at the DCDC PV intake with nothing connected, I still get a 0.57v draw... The battery is sitting at 6 degrees, Renogy states that 0-55 is optimal.

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

Good shout, I'll give it a test to check amps All cable sizes are good with less than 1M runs between batteries. The voltage at the alternator is 14.9v running into the DCDC charger. When I installed the system about a year ago, I tested the alternator to see if it was producing a variable...

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

Hi, yeah totally get what you saying regarding the DCDC charger taking the load. was confused about the 7amp into the starter battery though. The charger is set to Lithium. Was trying to avoid buying a lithium charger. My solar panel did keep it charged to 100% all of the time when it was...

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

Sorry, I cant adjust the voltage. I've read that the DCDC chargers don't typically charge them to 100%, I previously I had my solar installed which would trickle charge them to 100%. I'm so confused with what going on now, like you said 12.5v seems low but the DCDC MMPT is showing a green light...

Help with my Renogy 30amp DCDC MPPT

Hi All, I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could help. I have a Renogy 170A Lithium battery working in conjunction with the 30amp DCDC MPPT and Renogy Shunt, no solar connected as I'm having a custom rack built. Anyway, something strange is happening and I'm struggling to figure...
