Background
Former Quality Engineer with shallow to medium depth knowledge in a fairly broad array of areas (manufacturing, engineering, and hardware / software for automated data input and real time statistical analysis). Retired early, 15 years ago - out of practice and out of depth - A LOT!
Current or Future Solar Power System
Building a 460W / 690W (30V DC) solar system for a 1960 12' aluminum hull, with an 1164W 24V DC - 86 lb thrust electric trolling motor, 2500W 110V AC inverter, and 30 amp step down transformer to 12V for lights / accessories, and 5V USB outlets at charge controller and inverter. All connected to two - 122 amp-hr lead acid Marine & RV Deep Cycle Battery, Group Size 29DC (12V/845 MCA). Both batteries were bought together, and have caps to refill, but described as "maintenance free" under normal operating conditions.
