Hi, I did connect my JBD 150 amp with a 4S configuration, and everything seems to work well. I got the Bluetooth controller with it as well and that works seamlessly.

It is the same for me...1st build and using EVE cells and the JBD 150. So far so good. I love the app as well, it is so convenient. It is ana amazing amount of battery power in a small footprint.

I ended up troubleshooting with the company I bought it from, and I tried an Android phone with no luck. I have ordered an identical BMS and it is supposed to arrive June 10. This time I ordered the Com port so I can connect to a computer, as the seller believes I could unlock it with a...

My inverter crapped out on me soni couldn't give it a good test. I was at 2000 Watts for awhile and 155 amps, and everything was fine. I will report back when i get my inverter working again.

    Nice.

I thought I would report back on the JBD 150a I purchased from Ali Express from “Shawn Best”. This has turned out to be a horrible experience. The first BMS locked up somehow, and I could not unlock the software no matter what I did. The support from “Shawn Best” was “the worst”. After some back...

Ok, got the inverter back and going through a test now. Running steady at 115 amps, no problems at all with rhe BMS. Had it at 175 amps for awhile, and the heat sink was hot to the touch. I think if you had a small fan there would be no issues. For me, i need 160 amps for my microwave for short...
  • Post in thread: JBD SP8S004 8S 24v 150A BMS

I beefed up my wires and ran 180 amps for almost 30 min, BMS ran a lot cooler. One of the negative terminals in the middle of my 4S pack is hot to the touch, way hotter than the BMS. The battery cell is not any hotter than the others, I made sure everything is tight, and the bus bar connected...

  • Post in thread: Are there any real thrustworty +100A BMS?

Hi Will, I have looked at these and I am concerned about the low voltage battery cutoff (only 2.2V). Would you be concerned with this or is it ok? thank you.

Ok, i will give that a try

45 degrees celcius. Well below the limits recommended by Overkill solar. I think i could have reduced some heat with heavier cables. I am still going with my capacity test...280 ah Eve cells. I am using default settings for the BMS and it shows me at 0 capacity now, while the cells are still...

I hear you, but i had way more than that left on these EVE cells. The last 30 min of the test showed 0 capacity. Great cells...delivered full capacity. I am very happy with the cells and the JBD 150a BMS. I will be upgrading the wire gauge though, i undersized it.
  • Post in thread: JBD SP8S004 8S 24v 150A BMS

I am having issues now. I think I have either messed up the JBD 150a BMS or locked the software up somehow. I am running an iPhone and I can connect to the BMS over bluetooth, but it just says "Waiting for data". I can't draw a load from the battery bank either, BMS just shuts down and voltage...

You can set it as high as you want. I have set it for 175amps as i may peak there from time to time.

Ok. I guess you are probably right, 5amps times 4 cells so 20 ah total. That is very close to what i achieved below 3V. I found a .1V difference in the cells as well.
