I wonder how well it would have worked if you heat up the bus bar on its own away from the terminal to the point where you could easily melt solder on it without a soldering iron. Then put the bar on the terminals and use its heat to melt the solder on the bar and the terminal. Just a thought.

This post answer some questions. But not all. Interesting to know this is used in scooter battery packs. But why this terminal format? What is the advantage?

Hi First post on the forum. Questions 1. What is the name of the type of battery terminals in the attached picture? 2. How do one connect conductors top it? Welding? or Solder, since its copper? 3. Are such terminals always made of copper. This is the Aliexpress link. I will not buy these...
