Let's say I have 4 solar panels. I run two in parallel to produce 20 Vmp and 10 amps, and I run that to a positive and a negative buss bar. Then I take the other two and run in parallel to produce 20 Vmp and 10 amps and run that to the same buss bars. Do I now have 40 Vmp and 20 amps at the buss...

One of my thoughts, and unfortunately there are many, was to have 2 solar panels and all the equipment needed per circuit, so each circuit would be a "unit" as you described. Hi. I took two 12 volt batteries, wired them in series. Produced 26 volts. Hooked it up to a 24 v inverter. Then I put an AC device on inverter that draws 200 watts. When I took an amp reading. meter says I draw 16+ amps. 200 watts at 12 volts should be 16.6 amps...I would think 200 watts at 24...
