I did measure the voltage of the cells when I first received them, they were all pretty close around 3.24v each. Could be the BMS, I know the charging isolator was working because it did keep a charged lead acid battery I had there till I did my electronics upgrade.
How can I verify the...
Hello Folks,
So Will mentions in several videos that not topping off LIFEPO4 batteries to 100% (keeping them around 80% full). This will greater increase the life of the battery. Which Battery component is responsible for saying the batteries have enough of a charge, the solar charge...
Thanks JoeyB!
Stiff learning curve but yeah the BMS's kind of confused me...It will disconnect if the voltage is too high or low. But Ok, So the charge controller is where I will limit how full the batteries will get. I guess when I get the DC to DC charger I will have to set the voltage...
I have a 2000 watt Bestek inverter, yesterday morning I removed the wires from the battery for it. It was turned off and the green led on the front of the inverter wasn't on, but I was wondering if something was taking juice away from the battery. Yesterday I emailed overkill because when I...
I did message him to ask. I think from what that site showed the m8 runs blue tooth 5.0 and it should be backwards compliant. I tried an emulator for my surface book 2 but the app wouldn't run at all.
I can drag my tablet outside when it warms up a bit (I am up in the mountains) I went outside, opened the app and it shows battery at 13.33v 200 amps and at 100% Overkill wants me to "measure voltage across the BMS, with the engine running and charger active. (measure B- to C- )" going to be...
well when I left this morning, battery was at 13.18 volts. 120 miles later it's at 13.34 volts... so I guess it's taking a charge. Tuesday I head back and hopefully it should nearly top it off.
I tried waking the blue tooth module with my phone launch the app hit the button to restart the bluetooth close the app on my phone look on the tablet and it would see the bms app and i tried clicking it but it doesn't sync with it and when i launch the app on the tablet it just doesn't connect...
Raining of course but I started the van and tested the voltage at the battery and it was around 14.3v the idle was under 1500rpm's and its a 150 amp alternator I have a meter for the van's main battery and it usually shows 14.2 to 14.4 when I plug it in(part of a bluetooth unit for the radio...
well I am ok with not bringing it up to 100% full, I heard around 90% is better for extended cycles. When Will P. talked about it on Youtube, I took it into consideration and originally was looking at around a 150amp battery planned for using 80% then thought about the 200 amp cell's were on...
ok, here is the link for the batteries I purchased. I don't have great access to opening it up to measure the cells but they were tall. https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/4000325064942.html I changed the dip switches to I believe are what you suggested. I did change the settings to the app with...
in this one it looks off, it says 40% setting is 3.15v and the main screen shows I am at 30% with 13.18v I haven't used the battery for anything other then checking that the lights and ventfan and water pump worked, everything is off all the time. I don't live in the van, just for weekends...
Since cyber monday is coming up and the $35 droid tablet I bought that wouldn't connect to the blue tooth on the bms, so I figure other people might be using a tablet for it, what tablet's will work?
thanks
deryk
The battery isn't powering anything currently. Besides testing to make sure it works by turning on and off my maxxair fan and an overhead light. The only thing connected and using power is a 12volt propane gas detector. I went for a larger battery because my plan is to add a 12 volt...
Hello folks...
I am looking at a smaller system. I have a 2010 Transit Connect I am converting to a campervan. Not living it, but hoping to be able to take some longer trips in it, possibly in a few years start snowbirding in it. Currently I have this charging my walmart deep cycle lead...
yeah, it works on my droid phone but the whole dashboard doesn't display right so I figured spend 40 bucks and get a tablet just for this app.... hopefully someone does. Would I need an ipad? sorry not a mac person, worked in IT, always with pc's.
oh, I had this suggested to me for the DC to DC Charging... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W84SS41/?coliid=I2OWCMH7FHCZCP&colid=1X6770O17W99W&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
