48 cells total, between the 2 batteries

I'm no battery expert but roughly 3.12 amps per cell seems very low. when I charged mine they were stinking a lot, it burned my eyes within 10' of the trailer

Did you put water in them? and how many amps for charging?

I have a dc solar trailer the batteries are the problem, after refilling with water, and charging with around 10,000 watts, then discharging as quick as possible, the batteries have improved, supposedly repeating that cycle will make them stronger

It might be a firmware thing, the islands were new in box from the dc solar auction, I'll start with updating the firmware. I won't be out there for a week.

That's the thing the sunny boy did not kick back in, I waited about an hour, the soc went to 72, I then restarted the islands in pv only and it works great, that evening I restarted the islands in generator mode, and left it. the next morning pv took over and is working great.

The sunny islands are great I had 3000 watts of air conditioning, a 1000 watt swamp cooler, refrigerator and other stuff running, and they started the 1.5 hp well pump easily, and thats with the generator off

Yes, the batteries discharge. the islands stay on, when I turn off the generator the sunny boy ramps down,

The islands feed a subpanel, the sunny boy feeds the same subpanel,, ac2 is direct to the generator all is working correctly in that area, I think something is happening with the island settings, not sure,
