In answer to your questions: 1. I use regular ethernet cables to connect my Seplos BMS with the Growatt inverter and they seem to work okay. Some users have reported problems but it could very well be due to different firmware/software versions of either their inverter or the BMS from mine...

I use the converter that was supplied by seplos for an extra $20 when I ordered the Mason 280 kit

Yes that is exactly how my main panel is setup. Each incoming phase from the utility is connected with neutral to its own loads via 1pole breakers.

greenottawa is the one who bricked his invertor who you were trying to help. I just happened to be following this thread and realized that the firmware you posted was applicable for my series as well. Thanks once again!

Your welcome. My battery is at a lower voltage because it is under discharge versus yours which is under charge, usually the battery records are higher voltage when being charged at least that is my understanding.

  • Post in thread: Remote Control and Monitoring Growatt + Seplos BMS

I just installed 2 Growatt SPF 5000 ES (In Parallel) along with 2 Seplos EVE 280 16s DIY Battery Packs (In Parallel). This is how I am monitoring and controlling the system remotely: 1. Seplos BMS Battery Packs: Configured the two BMS packs in parallel with the master BMS as pack00 and slave...

Thanks for your comment. I agree but wouldn't that be an issue if I were to run a 3Phase load (like a motor) as opposed to using just one phase? All my existing loads from the main panel is using 1Pole RCBO breakers directed to 1phase loads.

  • Post in thread: Solar System With No Battery - Design

Thanks for your comment. That would be bad. Just for my understanding if the power company shut down the supply to perform some work, the inverter would supply solar only and current would return to its source which is the inverter thru the neutral line. How does that affect the connected out...

  • Post in thread: Seplos BMS with Growatt SPF 6000T

Thanks for your comments. In regards to your question pls check your Seplos BMS "Remaining Capacity Protection" setting per attached image I believe It should always be lower than your Growatt inverter B2AC setting else the BMS will override it.

I just completed setting up eve 16s 280K seplos DIY kit with a growatt spf 5000 ES. I assume this is very similar to your setup. • Post in thread: Growatt SPF 5000ES firmware update

On a side note if you entered the inverter serial number in the warranty section of Growatt's official website (ginverter.com) it would display the factory shipping date along with the warranty date. Atleast it does it for me. I purchased my unit last week in Thailand. Cheers
  • Post in thread: Lifepo4 supplier

I bought 32 eve 280AH cells in two batches from Cassie Wang split in 2 orders of 16 per order. They came well matched and have been performing well inside 2 Seplos Mason kits since Nov 2022. I paid $119 USD per cell including shipment to my home in Thailand.

I am building a solar system without battery for my home in Thailand based on the attached design. I am using the Growatt spf 5000 es along with 10x450w Trina panels in a 5S2P configuration for this project. I have tested the inverter in relation to GN bonding and found that it does not bond...
