MPP LV2424 - max AC input current

That's exactly what we're talking about. At least on the 3048 it seems the input AC breaker rating is specced for both passthrough full-load (to a load size that matches the inverter max, natch) AND the maximum line mode battery charge current (60A @ 60VDC). In this case 48A @ 120VAC input...

MPP LV2424 - max AC input current

lol when i made the decision to pass over the 'parallel operation' section of these manuals i remember thinking 'haha prob gonna miss something THERE' and indeed, i see the recommendation. on the 3048 3kw claims a max line mode charge rate of 60A. It asks for 100A breaker on the battery here...

MPP LV2424 - max AC input current

MPP doesn't seem to recommend fuse size in any of these manuals. I did find a line in the specifications for "Line Mode" that says "Max bypass current " and that might be good guidance. I've sent an email to them asking for clarification.

KitchenVan - A Private Food Truck For Vehicle Convoy

I'm kicking the tires for the recirculating shower system that's going into the back end of the kitchenvan. For a while I was considering a captive buffer system, that's where you have a 10 gallon tank of water that just cycles through the shower forever with a buttload of filters on it. This...

MPP LV2424 - max AC input current

The more i look at it the more i realize that there is no reason to assume the AC circuit in transfer mode has the same capacities as the internal inverter. It's safe to assume that the circuit's connections are designed to the inverter specification, but I wouldn't be surprised if these units...

MPP LV2424 - max AC input current

I'm trying to figure this out, as well. I'm going with a 3048LV. Assuming the max AC load output capacity is 3kw and the battery charger max is 2.8kw i assume i need to spec the incoming wiring and protection for about 6kw. Thats only if the battery charger will run at max while also bypassed...

KitchenVan - A Private Food Truck For Vehicle Convoy

I'm to the point where I have to decide on a vehicle communication standard. I'm into setting up a serial, i2c, 1-wire, CAN, or whatever bus and just hanging everything off it; startup style. I've been holding off on deciding on what the BMS is going to be until I decide that, in case i need to...

Looking for 36v system options, maybe 72v?

I ended up deciding on reworking my entire pack for 48v and dumping my 36v equipment for an upgrade. I made a Show and Tell post where i'll log what i end up doing. lol 36v is a curse

KitchenVan - A Private Food Truck For Vehicle Convoy

Howdy ya'll! I've been unsure of where and how to start a project thread but I've recently ordered a bunch of parts to do a pretty major upgrade on one of my vehicles and figured I'd just start a log here. Why not, it'll make it easier to pretend like I'm working on my youtube channel. I live...

Looking for 36v system options, maybe 72v?

I'm considering a last ditch attempt to save my current hardware, lol From how I understand it the only reason I can't serialize the 120v outputs from the UPSes could be overcome by plugging one UPS into the other, which would then maintain a reference and give stable 240v. In this way I could...

Looking for 36v system options, maybe 72v?

A combination of access to 36v modules, incorporating 36v drive systems in a few small electric vehicles, and the physical space available for the modules; this is a vehicle mounted system fwiw. If I had it to do all over again, I'd have chosen 48v but alas. I can imagine a world in which I...
