    8.5x20 enclosed trailer conversion

I agree. Tire warmers (had to google them, had no idea), must they be run all weekend, or for like two hours before you start racing, and then between runs? Maybe you need them for like a total of 5 hours per day at 2Kw/pair (10KwH production)? And only during daylight, when no one would...

    8.5x20 enclosed trailer conversion

I see you're a brand new member. Watch a bunch of Will Prowse's YouTube videos. You can build a substantial system within your budget. PM me if you like, and I'll help you with defining your requirements and determining your parts required. You need not buy the highest quality everything...

    8.5x20 enclosed trailer conversion

No desert camping experience but a lot at 10,000+ feet elevation. Same thing - 95 during the day, 40 or less at night. Even got snowed in on 4th of July one year. I've winter camped in my trailer, and found this little guy, run an hour or so before bedtime is enough...

    8.5x20 enclosed trailer conversion

Gotcha, generator much after 6:00 p.m. is not very neighborly. For heat, you might look at a good old RV propane furnace. It would cost a whole lot less than the battery capacity you'd need to run even the smallest space heater. Same for your water heater - those electric ones are energy...

Is Sol-Ark still sending data to China?

As a cybersecurity professional, I can assure you there is nothing paranoid about knowing (not worrying if) your data is being collected by foreign agents. We've tested network interface cards and found some beaconing to Chinese registered IP addresses before the servers containing them even...

    8.5x20 enclosed trailer conversion

First I salute you for hiring a pro to do your high voltage installs. Solar is new to many at this time, so you may have to look around. A step in your process is to insulate the heck out of your trailer. I had this done on the 8.5x24 I bought a couple years ago, and it was well worth the...

DC connector melted while connected to bluetti. salvageable?

"I guess i can contact bluetti but it seems like nothing less than a 1 star amazon review gets a response from companies like this" Let's have a "come to Jesus (or your favorite rabbi)" talk. First, most of us have found Bluetti to be very responsive on the rare occasion we have needed support...

Cheap Buetti on ebay- charging with an inverter ?

That would work. It would be a long drive to fully charge the thing, but it would work. There's also the cigarette lighter option with the AC200P, but that gives you only approx. 100 watts.

DC connector melted while connected to bluetti. salvageable?

"It worked until it broke". VOC is 21.69 volts, with ISC of 5.71 amps, so 2 in parallel give you 21.69 VOC and 11.42 amps ISC. The ampacity of that connector is probably 10 amps max. You overloaded the port, plain and simple. Can it be repaired? Yes, in several different ways. Get in touch...

    WIW? Bluetti EB-150

I hate WIW posts in For Sale sections, so I'll ask here. 4 y/o EB-150, works fine. Cycled maybe 6 times. I want something bigger, like the AC200, but don't want to give this thing away either.

Highest Production generated on cold Sunny days

I often get full rated capacity from 2x cheesy Harbor Freight panels. Clean panels, no clouds, and proper angle seem to be the ticket.

Direct burial cable from array to shed.

Looking at a few different manufacturers some of this cable is rated to 150 volts and 40 amps for 8/2. Don’t know about your 20 kw system but should be fine for my small system.

Direct burial cable from array to shed.

I thought about conduit. Would have to price it out, but then I could use cheaper wire than the landscaping stuff. I'll have to price compare.

Direct burial cable from array to shed.

Zoning is A4 (that's 'Merican for down on the farm for our non-USA members), and can do almost anything without inspections since it's an offgrid Ag building (shipping container, actually), and yeah, I'd stick to 50ish VOC and 30 amps, so 8 gauge is good. Inverter inside the shipping container...

Direct burial cable from array to shed.

So if I'm going to parallel two SCCs to get the charge rate I want, I'd need two separate strings wouldn't I?
