    Victron smart shunt

Not sure how this might apply to your situation, but this is what the manual says about charge cycles. Charge • Total charge cycles: The number of charge cycles over the lifetime of the battery monitor. A charge cycle is counted every time the state of charge drops below 65% and then rises...

    Victron smart shunt

The documentation shows lots of stats that are recorded for both charge and discharge cycles. See section 5.5 of this manual. https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/SmartShunt/Manual_BMV_and_SmartShunt-en.pdf

    Victron smart shunt

I should have done this to begin with, but FYI, from the manual for the Victron Smart Shunt. 5.5. History The battery monitor stores historic events. These can be used at a later date to evaluate usage patterns and battery health. The history data is stored in a non-volatile memory and will...

    Victron smart shunt

For those that have the Victron smart shunt, does that record the full discharge cycle on the Victron connect app, just like it does the charge cycles of the Blue Smart chargers?

    Crimp vs. solder

I put some Anderson connectors on several of my battery connections (to the charger, electrical distribution panel, etc) and soldered the Anderson lugs to the 8 AWG wire coming off the battery. Recently, I was told that crimping is preferred to soldering, because if the wires got hot the solder...

    SOK 206ah not charging

Mike, This is the most thoughtful and thorough response I could have hoped for. Unfortunately the email notice for your response got hidden in my spam folder so I'm just seeing this now and haven't yet tried what you suggested, but I definitely will today. Thank you so much! I'll report back...

    SOK 206ah not charging

I didn't measure the cells while the charger was attached. And yes to power supply mode and being able to discharge the battery. When you say "...consistent with cell over-voltage protection..." I assume that means the voltage applied to the battery at some point is too high? If that's what it...

    SOK 206ah not charging

I'm having the exact same problem as discussed on this thread. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/sok-206ah-doesnt-take-a-charge-only-reads-11-volts-from-main-terminals.30982/page-2#post-387470 A big difference is my battery is showing 13.2 volts at the top terminals. I have the Victron IP67...

    Convert from FLA to LiFePo

You have no idea what I'm chasing. Why don't you pose this as a question rather than coming off as a know-it-all a$$hat? That's pretty much what I said, in different words. How you interpret it, I have no control over. You should get over yourself and maybe consider approaching community groups...

    Convert from FLA to LiFePo

Like I said, I trust the experts at Battle Born more than some of the advice I've gotten here. Now I'm regretting asking the question and using this forum. Shoulda known better.

    Convert from FLA to LiFePo

For those that would like to read up on charging LIFePo batteries from the authorities at Battle Born, here are a couple links to their blog. https://battlebornbatteries.com/charging-lithium-batteries-the-basics https://battlebornbatteries.com/charging-battleborn-lifepo4-batteries/

    Convert from FLA to LiFePo

FWIW to anyone that might be following along, these older WFCO all-in-one panels with converter/charger aren't capable of charging at 14.4 volts. I haven't been able to find out where that cutoff point might be in terms of the different models or year of production, but mine isn't going to work...

    Convert from FLA to LiFePo

I'm not doing alternator charging on this, so that helps simplify things.

    Convert from FLA to LiFePo

My little teardrop trailer has one 12 volt deep cycle SLA battery and has a very modest power draw. I'd like to replace the battery with LiFePo and worried about the charging provided by the trailer's built-in charger. It's got an "all in one" AC panel, DC panel, charging package. Of course...
