I used a 50mm2 cable and split the leads to 2 x 25mm2 at one end, crimped 2 25mm2 lugs and isolated the exposed copper again. So i have one 50mm2 lug at one end and 2 25mm2 lugs at the other. Works like charm. You just need to make sure tonprecisely split 50-50.
It is probably oversized but I...
I ordered one last summer and a second one (as spare cuz for boat application) in autumn. Both of them have multiple power off/on cycles using the button. No issues at all so far, no strange sounds from the charger, no drop outs and no other problems that others have reported here and that made...
I would not see why this should not be possible. You add another small voltage drop to your chain and you must see that the balancers do not work against each other.
However, if you have a well dimensioned with a Conservative charge profile and discharge profile I would more worry about...
I took a 50 mm2 cable removed the isolation at one end for about 7cm (2.5 inch) and seperated the leads into 2 bunches. The I fitted 1 25mm2 lug to each of the lead bundles. Please dry fit both at the same time before crimping one to make sure you got it approx 50-50. Afterward insulate the...
My BMS is within 1-2mV to my dig voltmeter. 20mV difference sounds a lot. Check whether the overall pack voltage is calibrated correctly and that the BMS match your DVM reading of the the pack voltage
Same here. Have 2 running in service since 72 days without a single problem. That said, the battery is for a marine application and will only be brought into full service next summer, means the BMS there is little to no current appart from a few test cycles here and there. The BMS is still...
