I know this post is way late on this thread, but people might like the information. There is nothing new about the guts of the Lycan 5000. The biggest thing that made me buy it is the Water/Dust Proof steel case on wheels. The Charge Controller, Inverter, BT2, 2 Batteries, and circuit breakers...

Will, could you do a review of the Renogy Lycan 5000 and talk about the expansion of this unit with other vendors' Rack style or another form factor 48v batteries? Also, compare the Lycan to the EcoFlo and Ankers' solar generators. I know that the Lycan is not as portable as most of the other...

I say all the time that I don't have Alzheimer, but I sure have Sometimers! And recently, it has turned into Mosttimers... Maybe we need to talk to Renogy and have them send him one to review! :)

The one thing that I haven't accounted for in this WONDERFUL writeup is the effect of the Battery's BMS. It controls both the Charge and Discharge of each battery independently. I wonder how they would affect the calculation.
