Thanks to Seplos support I figured this out. My cells are unbalanced so one of them was hitting the overvoltage protection. The BMS then goes into standby and waits until both the recovery conditions are satisfied:
1. Individual cell voltage decrease to over voltage recovery threshold.
2. The...
Mine seems shorted. I get a continuity beep both ways. On other diodes I register a reading one way and open the other. It's a bit tricky with the epoxy covering, you have to pierce it with the multimeter needles to get a proper reading.
I am finding that my cycle count is increasing at twice the expected rate. Every discharge to 16% and charge to 98% increases the cycle count by 2. Anyone else seeing this?
Same for me. I texted one of their after sales engineers (Link Liu) and he sent me the Growatt specific firmware file which has already been posted on this thread as I see now. I updated the firmware set the CAN protocol to Growatt and it worked straight away.
I think you are meant to leave that one alone. The BMS Software guide says:
Current Calibration and Voltage Calibration is for quality control during manufacturing. (Do not click unless being permitted, or the BMS will be damaged, and SEPLOS will not responsible for the damage.)
Has anyone been able to resolve the problem the OP had? Every time my battery hits 100% the charge switch turns off and then the BMS won't discharge the battery. I think this is because the Growatt inverter put in a small bit of current into the battery to test the voltage before it initiates...
Sad to report that my SEPLOS BMS died this afternoon after only two months in service. Pretty sure it was manufactured before July so it's likely to be the diode issue.
This happened to me with Growatt and Pylontech as well. So I don't think this is related to Seplos. I have not been able to resolve the problem. I do find that once the battery accumulates some charge it discharges about every 30 minutes.
Hi All, I purchased a Seplos 48V 100A BMS for my DIY 16S 100Ah LifePO4 battery pack. My inverter is a Growatt SPH3600 with a Pylontech US2000 that it communicates with over CAN. I connected the BMS to the battery and used the Battery Monitor Software to configure the settings. But my inverter...
I have a similar issue. The battery charges to 100% and then BMS goes into standby. Using the reset button and switching the BMS on and off makes no difference. My Growatt SPH3600 is a grid tied solar inverter. I switched it to Load first mode.
The only thing that makes the BMS wake up and the...
Nice find @fatfash. I found it was working without hitting the download button some of the time so I would keep trying until it stuck. Gonna see if your tip removes that annoyance.
