Hello, I have a growatt SPF5000 installed in my home with a dongle and shinephone app installed on my phone. I need to get push notifications in case the load exceeded the panels production and batteries are used to feed the load. is that possible through shinephone app or any other third party...

Hi, my off-grid system consists of 14 solar panels 410 W, Voltronic 48v 5300w Inverter and 12x Leader LDR INV TT 220AH/12v set in 3 parallel banks of 4 batteries each. I ran the 230V output from the inverter directly into my electrical panel. This system is online for less than 1 week. Bulk...

    Yes FLA

    You mean weak?
  • Post in thread: Battery dropping fast to 50v

So I shouldn't worry much about it? what about the fast charge from 50v to 54v, is this also normal? I was worried when you said "weak battery" in your previous reply lol, so we can assume this is not the case?

Thanks for your detailed explanation. Looks so useful. One question regarding Solar assistant, does it work with acid batteries as storage? if yes, does it provide accurate stats ?
  • Post in thread: Battery dropping fast to 50v

As shown in the picture, boost voltage (I assume this is bulk) range is 14.4-14.8v and float range is 13.4-13.8v

Can you please elaborate more on this point? I didn't get what do you mean by it.

to make the batteries last longer, I should maintain it above 50% like above 12.2v x 4 = 48.8v . Am I right?

The issue is that in the inverter's parameters, if I specified battery type as FLA, I cannot change the Low DC cut-off voltage, it is fixed to 42v, which is pretty low. I think I have to change the battery type to User-Defined, and manually set the value of cut-off voltage to 48v.

Hi, my off-grid system consists of 14 solar panels 410 W, Voltronic 48v 5300w Inverter and 12x 12v FLA batteries (Leader LDR INV TT 220AH/12v) set in 3 parallel banks of 4 batteries each. I ran the 230V output from the inverter directly into my electrical panel. when on battery mode, I noticed...

Problem is that there is no always grid power where I live

    basically go dark :)

an electric technician took care of the wiring. I just called him, he said that they are wired as 2 banks of 6 batteries each with 2 batteries set as stand by in each bank (I'm not sure how this is possible), and the batteries are connected to an optimizer.

Yes I believe this is the best approach, I will do it once I reach home. thanks for your help. Now after 8 hours of battery mode, battery voltage is at 49v (load is stable at 800w), is this considered good so far?

Thanks for your reply. Can you please give more details about Solar assistant and home assistant. When you say replace my dongle with solar assistant, is it a device that I plug it in my inverter?
  • Post in thread: Battery dropping fast to 50v

pic will not really help as most wires will not be clear, but from what I described, is this an efficient setup?
  • Post in thread: Battery dropping fast to 50v

I will take some pics when I reach home
