I was going to get this

The dakota 36v 63AH battery comes with one with lower AMP output.
I was looking at the dakota lithium 36volt, but was also interested in figuring out how to use 3x valence 12v. Would you be able to use a 36 volt charger?
Wondering what others are getting with either kill-a-watt AC numbers or DC meter numbers. Mine seem to have about 80ish% charge. Mine showed 25 cycles and 510177 WH.
Seems you need a special BMS for 12v builds that will be put in series. That's what a rep at Daly told me recently. Might just go with 12S 36v even though that's not what i wanted to do.
I reached out to minn kota regarding support for my MK345 charger working with Lithium and they told me it's fine and to use the AGM setting. I'm tagging along as i want to build a 36v Lifpo4 setup for my 112lb thrust motor. Wondering if it's better to do a 12S 36v battery or three 4S 12v...
Haven't purchased anything yet. Still trying to figure out if i want go with expensive pre-built or half the price DIY. leaning towards DIY. I'm thinking about just using my minn kota MK345 to charge them, if DIY 3x 12v lifepo4. Otherwise, if i had that charger i mentioned, i would use it in...
I didn't want to cut the alligators off and replace them with a lug, so I took and tinned lug 1/0 or so and put those on the posts. They are about the size of a standard battery posts, so the alligator clips fit perfect.
sorry, that you are having issues. Was hoping this would be the answer for my trolling motor. Have you tested how much capacity your used valence batteries are getting? I picked one up to test out I got under half capacity.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'm in an area that won't need heating pads. Sounds like you're going to stay on the valence route. i'm hoping to find somebody who has built out three 4s lifepo4 batteries and then put them in series, so i can reference their design and lessons learned. I'm...
Yeah, was planning on getting bigger BMS as well. Was wondering how those are then wired together in series? And do all BMS support being tied in series? I ask, because there are some Pre-build lifepo4 batteries that don't support being put in series.
