I’ll do that this afternoon, thanks for the tip! I’ve never seen my new battery over 90%, but I don’t check it everyday either. It sucks when my power cuts off because the inverters are reading a 15% SOC while I have others batteries at 50-60% SOC. It has to be something simple. One thing...

Thanks for the reply! My inverters are in transit so it probably won’t be too big of a deal to refund those. I’ll check out your inverter! And propane isn’t off the table, just wish there was another option, but I’m afraid it’ll be my only one unless I want to spend $$$$ on more solar. Do...

My thinking was to get a genny big enough to power the whole house just in case I had a failure in one of the solar components and I had to wait on parts. That way I wouldn’t be dead in the water. I could probably get away with a smaller generator…I’m all about saving $$! And I have to say...

Yeah I was waiting on your 25A charger. I had it in my original build sheet, but luckily it’ll be a month or 2 before I get it all installed and I’ll have time to figure that piece out.

So I’ve been using my off grid system for a year now and so far so good. I have 4 Growatt 5000’s, 2 transformers, and now 7 48v egll batteries (1 new version). My question…Sig Solar told me to make my new battery the host battery, so I did. I did the dip switches per the manual, and the host...

Here they are at their current state. It’s still early and and the panels aren’t producing yet. But you can see a couple have huge differences. I’ll try and get some more pics this afternoon after they’ve had a full day of charging.

I was gone most of the day today, but it appears that all the batteries got a full charge. I’ll look at them in the morning and see if the voltages are within reason across them. Thanks for the input and if they are out of whack tomorrow I’ll go from there. Thanks again!!!

Mine are doing this too. What was the fix?
  • Post in thread: Growatt 5000ES dry contact plug??

I’m trying to get my system finalized and can’t find any info on what plug fits the dry contact switch. I called sig solar and they said that it was a pin plug, so I googled it and everything is a freakin pin plug! I’ve been back and forth with them over the past 3 days and they obviously...

  • Post in thread: I’ve got too many inverters???

I’m completely off grid with 4 Growatt 5000ES inverters, 2 transformers, and 6 48V EGLL batteries. What I’m finding is that I probably don’t need 4 inverters, and could probably get away with 2, so I’d like to wire 2 in parallel to power my house and use the other 2 for additional chargers. Is...

It’s this terminal. I don’t see any spring clips. NC C NO
  • Post in thread: Hope I didn’t mess up!!!

I’m starting a new 1800 sq ft build and went totally off grid. The power company wanted $25k to run the line plus I’d have to cut around $10k in timber for a right of way. I’m in Arkansas and will ground mount these panels, and they’ll have plenty of southern sky. This really makes me...
