Thank you both for your kind and thoughtful replies. @Samsonite801 I just don't have the money for more batteries, Not with Bidenmonics and the cost of food and diesel. @mikefizt, you are correct, it is a 2P4S, my mistake, I call it Old Age Brain Farts. (78 years old) I have (D) in your picture...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

WoW, Thanks again for the help. I guess I'll have to buy two 120 amp Overkill BMS and just wire one 4S for each side. Maybe you have a picture of how to wire the two together. I suppose I can use the pos. and neg. post on the other side and wire to the cells that are not wired now. I just don't...

Balance Status: Off Balance Current: 0.0A Position: 0 Below the above is where I can set the Parameters. Balance Parameter Setting Balance Current: 0.0A Battery Strings: 0 dischg High Temp...

    I google and I tried.
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

It didn't take either setting. It says device timed out or entry invalid, Please reset. I don't understand why it won't even take the Strings setting.

I just tries a factory reset and that is not available.
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

I really, really do appreciate you trying to help. I can not find and answers on google. But at least I guess I don't need a second BMS. NEEY balancers need a power supply and don't really do 4S. JK does not make Balancers at all, just a 120 amp smart bms with balancing included.
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

I'm just measuring as it is connected, I hate to loosen and retighten these small 6mm nuts. There is great a chance I would stripp a bolts or stud or whatever they are called. All my connections are tight, I just recheck them yesterday. Thank you for your reply, I suppose I need not worry since...
  • Post in thread: 24V Daly Smart BMS on a 12V system

Sorry if I miss this answer, I did search. Can I use a 24 volt Daly Smart BMS on my 12 volt system. I have 8 cells to connect a BMS to, and right now my Daly 4S is not working right, I need an 8S type. Thanks everyone.
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

Yes, I see that in your diagram. My Victron MPPT solar charge controller needs the negative wire attached to the C-. WoW I've had mine attached incorrectly for years. I wonder if changing that connection would make a difference with my cells? Of course right now for the past two weeks...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

@MisterSandals , @mikefitz and @Samsonite801 Here are pictures of my setup. Please overlook the mess, They have been there for over 3 years maybe 4. When I am at my son or daughter home like I am now, I turn off my inverter and turn on my converter and plug into shore power. @MisterSandals , I...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

Yes, all day long. I guess if the BMS disconnects, I'd lose power? I have never lose power to my 5th wheel with the new inverter.
  • Post in thread: Help

Sorry you lost your husband and you're having problems. Plus you live in Oregon and it's cold. I live in Phoenix, AZ. But that doesn't help you. If your husband changed out the Refrigerator to Electric Only, That was an Expensive Refrigerator. Now let me ask, do you remember your husband taking...
  • Post in thread: 24V Daly Smart BMS on a 12V system

Thank You for your help, I'll have to purchase another Daly 250 amp Smart BMS 12V 4S then.
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

WOW  Thank You for all that information. I do have the UART cable, it came with the bms. Sounds like more trouble than it is worth. I was checking the Smart JK BMS, the 4S only seems to come in a 200 amp, but it peaks at 350 amps. I've been asking sellers to send me a how to picture of...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

The Daly toggle switch for charging in the smart app. is always off. I don't know how to turn on.
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

OMG, that is awesome. Very professional build. Then I would have to 1 gage wire and connect the positives of each group together and connect the two C- together. Right?
  • Post in thread: BMS Common port or Seperate port

Great Thread. I just cancelled my my 100 AMP 4S Separate Port BMS and I'll order a Common Port. I do only use solar in the day time to charge and a wind turbine at night to help maintain a full charge for the massive AMP Attack with my coffee pot and toaster in the morning. ?
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

Your Overkill smart bms looks easy to wire compared to the JK. I still have no real idea how to wire the JK smart bms for a 4S battery,
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

My Charge MOS and Discharge MOS is green or on. What I meant was the far right of those 2 setting is a toggle for Balance charging. I can not figure out how to turn that on if it is possible.. Plus, me and my 10 year old smartphone Hate Each Other. I don't know how to do a screenshot. LOL
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

@MisterSandals Thank you for trying. I had a friend who trashed his smart daly with one of those 5a smart balancers you can buy for $17. He did buy a JBD 200 amp and is happy with that one.
  • Post in thread: 24V Daly Smart BMS on a 12V system

Yup. I noticed that my Daly Smart Balancer will only show the 4 cells the Daly Smart BMS 4S is attached to even though I am using an 8S Daly Smart Balancer. I don't see all 8 cells in the balancer APP. I just don't know how to fix this problem. I don't know if this will work but I'm looking at...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

I was looking at the same picture, yes I googled it and it took awhile but I finally found a 4S picture. Yes it needs a power supply and I was hoping the red 4 wire led would already be attached to the power led. I just checked my batteries before bed and I have three showing 3.42 and the others...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

I can when I go out and log onto the app. But I have no idea od how to make a picture or screenshot and save it. Let me log into the app and click on the Balance charge screen and write down the setting, actually there are no setting set.
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

Hi everyone. I need help. I have what I believe to be a 4S2P 12V battery setup. I have 8 cells setup the same as Wills video of 3 or 4 years ago shows, the compact version and I wired my 500 amp smart Daly BMS the way he showed. The problem is I have cells that always read a 3.44 charge and...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

@Samsonite801 Sounds like a good plan. Using another balancer, I physically can not bend over that long any more to take the box apart and move cells. If I buy a JK or Neey 4S balancer, my question is this, Do I connect the 5 leads (1) Black and the other (4) Red to the same cells the Daly is...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

Thank you for the advice. I use the 500 amp bms because I live pretty much off grid in my fifth wheel. It is a 30 amp unit and I use my A/C a lot here in AZ. I have a 4000 (8000 peak) watt pure sine inverter. The gentlemen at Overkill customer service infomed me I would need two 120 amp bms. I...
  • Post in thread: How to wire a second 4S BMS to my 12V system in parallel

I built this about 4 years ago and never changed it. I have had this issue with the same cells being a little more charged than the other five for awhile. Yes, I do monitor each cell with a voltmeter I use. I run my electric coffee pot most of the early morning into the afternoon, that is a dead...
