Hi. It's not plugged into anything, so I must assume it is a short somewhere - I'll try to check the MOSFETs first, although all of t he visible fuses are intact. Cheers

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I do not have a manual - All the inverter says is "Inverter Fault" - No codes Sounds like the noise is coming form the really large transformer as it seems to be a pulse before it goes into error. Just wondering if it senses a surge of some sort?
