I ran my system like that for about 4 months before I got my 4th eg4. I had to put more of the 120 loads on the leg with the two inverters. Ran fine like that

These are the pics of the shorted panels. Seems the backing on the panel deteriorated and gave a pathway to fail

I also am wondering what configuration of any panel is more efficient, higher voltage and less amps or max amperage and less voltage. I realize the wattage will figure up either way. Just wondering about the efficiency

They are 200 watt panels. 68 volt output at 3.84 amps. I am running them 5s3p per array.

I determined I had a short by the arc I was seeing and hearing jumping from the bottom underside of the panel to the panel aluminum frame

They are not failing anywhere near where they are mounted. It is always on the lower end of the panel and seems the sealing material is letting moisture in. Was just wondering if anyone has tried to reseal the edges with any kind of material. I realize the shortage ones are history. Just trying...

These were used panels when we bought them. I’ve had them up for three years now. I have had four of them fail the same way. Seems they are all slowly doing this. I’ll try to get some pics to show what I’m talking about

I was wondering if any one has had a solar panel fail by shorting to the aluminum frame where the frame and glass meet. If so is there anything I can do to prevent this? My oldest panels are 10 years old. The rest are under that. They are Sanyo brand panels. Just wondering if this is what I can...

I have some old non working solar panels and was wondering what a person does to dispose of them or recycle?

No it is the one by itself feeding L1. It is also the one which had one of its arrays short to ground. I have cleared the bad string but haven’t troubleshooted to find the culprit in that string. Was wondering if it might have stressed something

Any ideas why my output voltage fluctuates like it does.

It doesn’t affect the output voltage of the inverter that is fluctuating a lot

Signature solar showed me how to set this up. I am going to get a fourth inverter to complete the install. Just did not want a $1500 battery charger and asked if there was a way to make it do a little work while I was waiting for the fourth. It is the same as setting up 4 settings wise

I’m thinking I have a panel that shorted internally to ground. I’m not finding any wiring issues as of yet
