OK, in this video Will says this system will power a house. Video Link I'm pretty sure I'm following everything up until the end. He has one 12 gauge extension cord for the A/C output. Now are we talking about running an extension cord all over the house to each device that you want to...

The lugs didn't look big enough for #6 but I could be wrong.

What happened to the 60 amps ? 21 amps will hardly power a house. And the output on the unit he has there is120 volts, ground, line and neutral.

  • Post in thread: Hi all, back from a long time ago. Question , help please.

Ok, so if I install a weatherproof junction box at my solar panels and run the PV cable from the solar panels into it, run PVC pipe or liquid tight flex from said box to the inside of my house, there should be no reason I can't use THHN wire in the conduit. I'm thinking that SO cord not in...

Next week I'll be receiving my Bluetti AC300 with one B300 battery ( to start with ) and 4- Renogy 320 watt 24 volt solar panels. My question is whats the best way to connect them, series, parallel or series / parallel and what size wires to run from the array to the Bluetti ? Probably going the...

Ok, I got you now. Thank you for clarifying that for me. So do you know if he has a system that will generate 50-60 amps ? I am confused about the teapot thing.

    120

Let's drop down to a 40 amp output a/c 120/240 volt output. The 8k thing's dang pricey. And realistically with out stove, oven and hvac. 40 amps should be fine. I've run the house on a 5k gas generator before. Let's say Snake Plissken pushes that button again and all our electricity goes away...

I'm assuming you are talking about 120/240. Two hots out of phase, a neutral and a ground. Stationary.

Would that be for on the roof ? I'm looking at mounting my panels on a vertical wall and running pvc or liquid tight flex down and under my deck up a few feet. Set a box on the outside wall and pipe though the back of the box with EMT into the house.
  • Post in thread: Hello, new guy here with questions.....

I'm new here and new to solar. I would like to install a system on my home in case, heaven forbid we are truly in the end times and the grid goes down, or best case the power goes out for a few days. My golf cart has six 6 volt Protron 2000 batteries in it. My thought is building an...
