Thank you very much , that’s what I thought I should do . I’ll get a separate ground bar screw It to box and then connect my grounds to it .
No the house panel doesn’t have the neutral and ground bonded , it is connected to a ufer but that’s all .
Hi .
I’ve got a solar system in the process of being sign off by local state inspector .
And he s giving me trouble claiming the compatibility between my inverter ; Outback radian 4048a and flex max charge controller with the new ethos 10.2 kw lithium ion battery ul certified .
Outback says...
Thanks for your answer .
This is what I made sure of before .
I asked both manufacturers , Outback and big battery about their compatibility of their specific combination together :
And they both said it is .
What more could I have done ? And can the inspector be above any listing...
Hi .
So I’ve got a utility shed with inverter where the ground is connected to the neutral bar since it is bonded and first point of entry . I then get ac from inverter to a panel in the shed which distributes from there directly to the house .
I have to put a disconnect box on the exterior...
Please see pictures attached .
It’s 240v coming from shed where the bond between neutral and ground is already made . And I’m wondering where to place my ground in the disconnect ( pictures attached ) since I don’t think I should connect it to the neutral bar or maybe I should ?
Given the rarity of this occurring .
They then limitate the choice for consumer to 1 or 2 combinations …
I’ve talked with solar installers and they all said that as soon as it’s ul certified and inverter and cc compatible with lithium ion batteries , which is the case . The comms of the system...
If that’s the case . I m just good to throw away a 4K $ battery and same price inverter ….. great .
I can’t believe tech support of any manufacturers don’t know that then …
If it’s a power trip it’s pretty pathetic … but anyway .
I did show them the 9540 and 9540 a of all components in my system .
He s the one actually that did tell me before « just make sure the battery is ul certified and that your inverter and cc are compatible with lithium ion batteries «...
