Retired. Education includes an MSME and MBA. Career-wise last 20 years in satellite communications and DOD Test Range. My experience with solar systems is limited to several hundred hours researching systems and reading. Prior home I built, I did all of the electrical work so familiar with the National Electrical Code.
Current or Future Solar Power System
Plan to build an EG4 system. I am working on building our home. Just got the building permit. This will take some time. However, after completion, I plan to add solar panels and a power system. I looked at Tesla Solar Roof (very nice but unaffordable) and Timberline Solar Shingles (less attractive, less expensive, but still unaffordable). While building the house I want to include all the necessary interfaces (conduit runs, pulling cable, room for mounting solar power components, etc.,).
