    Basen batteries shipped from USA

I did move the cell from position #2 to position #3 to see if the same thing happened and it did. The 3.9V was, unfortunately, with the cells in series on the benchtop charger with voltage restricted to 14V which I thought would be safe with the BMS still in the box and not set up - oops! Hence...

DIY buss bar plus fuse set up

Ok, that's an interesting way to get the MPPT around the battery disconnect switch (looks like MPPT - the positive wire on left of batt disc)! But, but...he has no main battery fuse before the bus bar...must really, really trust his cables. Don't see a way to disconnect the MPPT from the battery...

    Basen batteries shipped from USA

Top-balancing in parallel gave +0.010 V (from 3.290 starting V from mfg) on a 2-to-10A benchtop charger over 4 afternoons so hooked in series to Overkill BMS to charge 10A at 13.5V for a while. That is when the voltage on one cell "ran away". What is the correct terminology? (took me a few days...

how did you contact them? I am top-balancing 4 Bashen 280 cells and one is a runner (is that the term? try to charge and the volts run off on just one of them all of a sudden)

Which Charge profile is ok for LifePo4?

Yes, you can! Tho Amazon is now down to just 1 used one. Had new ones when I posted the above. Anyway, here's the part number and description...

Which Charge profile is ok for LifePo4?

If you are talking WFCO manuals, you have to click twice on a page to get it to show you the manual link on a product page (here for the Li 8955): I learned from the Theory of Operation (https://wfcoelectronics.com/theory-of-operation/) but it doesn't have Li. The 8955Li-MBA (or REP) for just...

Which Charge profile is ok for LifePo4?

Well, after a couple of weeks of reading spec sheets and then manuals, I think the WFCO reason to switch to Li charger/converter has to do with timing. How long does it stay at Bulk? At Absorbtion? And maybe to understand the differences in voltages where 12.0V might equal 13V. Think I've given...

Which Charge profile is ok for LifePo4?

Reading the WFCO manuals, it switches to Bulk on high current draw (rather than low voltage) but their Theory of Operation manual says it kicks into Bulk based on a preset voltage limit! Go figure! Might try turning everything on at once or otherwise get current draw up high. I've never measured...

Which Charge profile is ok for LifePo4?

Talk about a Timely read for me. WFCO 30A power panels can now come with a 50A Li converter and/or switchable between Li and lead acid. That would save space in a small camper to re-use where the converter is. And a whole new 30A power panel for Li is cheaper at $217 than a lot of converters...

RV electrical and solar system step by step - Step 1.5, Can my converter charge lithium batteries

Just learned about WFCO Li replacement converters. This is 8950-MBA and mine is an 8950-PEC model - not sure yet if that matters. A whole WFCO Li replacement center is $217 and has a switch for Li or lead acid. Neat. A whole lot more to rewire, tho. Charge profile is 50A at 14.6V for 1-4...
