Hi @jesse_c I'm very curious how's your Fonrich arc detection integration with Tigo ended (if already finished)? I have similar situation (inverter w/o afci and Tigo optimizers) and also looking to integrate stand alone arc fault detection.
  • Post in thread: Yangtze 500W solar Panels

Hi guys. As I really want to contribute I decide to write my experience with panels of this topic. I'm DIY-er, I build up on-grid 12kWp system with 20pcs Yangtze 600W panels(YS600M-144, dimmension 2274*1134*35) and each have Tigo 700W optimizer below. I have two strings of panels wired in...

Hi, opening this old topic as I want to check my findings to expand existing PV setup and not fried inverter and this topic completely correspond to my situation. I also have Goodwe hybrid inverter (GW10K-ET) and datasheet says: I have existing two strings (about year and a half working w/o...

"it also has an AP Smart transmitter for Tigo" Is this something new? Or this is just some signal forwarder? I know Fonrich afci functionality. But as I talk here with @Austint he was not able to get it in working order together with Tigo optimizers under panels (sensivity must be set at 127...

Hi, thank you @Hedges for your comment and confirm my calculation. Below I-V curve of panels, so numbers are nearly correct. By the way, depending on inverter datasheet am I correct, that each physical PV input (inverter has two) can handle up to 850VDC, max 1000VDC on both terminals same...

@Hedges I think there is not a problem keep a live signal between Tigo cca and optimizers. Looks like it's problem when tigo optimizer do "the magic" every few seconds, this corespond as disturbed signal on fonrich sensor and triger as arc. Coils and logic on Fonrich probably do some spectral...

Hi guys. Well I'm very surprised. I have 20 panels 600w as mentioned above. Installed on April 2022 so now second season is ending and during winter there was 60cm of heavy wet snow on them. For now so far so good, I don't notice any damage, also have Tigo optimizers and all panels look like...

Meanwhile I'm waiting for a few answers from manufacturers of external afci modules I'm thinking about RCD device usage. For example MD0630STA (just Google it) it's a current leakage sensing device who can detect DC current leakage starting at 6mA. I know this is not afci device, but when arc...

Then I have third one - Mr. Gavin. How much panels do you have?
  • Post in thread: How many more panels can be added

Thank you, all clear now. I wonder when I'm looking at every datasheet of inverter, why manufacturers if inverter has two inputs so two separate mppt where each can handle 850V, why then Max DC input voltage is written only once 1000V. From my point of view if it's marked for Max input current...

Hi guys. any updates here? Anyone with working Fonrich AFCI solution? I also found Sensata (already mentioned on this forum) and other two alternatives Siemens and Santon. But looks like no one produce this devices anymore.

Yeah but no optimizers under panels right? Are there any instructions about usage together with optimizers? As far as we know here (thanks to @Austint) Fonrich detect optimizer activities (Tigo optimizers, don't know for others).
  • Post in thread: Siplos mason combined with Goodwe invertor

This manufacturer (Seplos) is not on the list of official supported batteries for Goodwe. So anyway if you have them, they are probably configured as "other" manufacturer or if BMS is nearly the same as for some other brand (Pylontech, LG, BYD, etc.) can be set same way. Once this is set, then...
