Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM solar charging problems?

Follow up. At this point I am pretty sure the charge controller on the Growatt all-in-one has died, as it no longer even recognizes that the panels are connected, although I can still read voltage at the leads going into the Growatt with a multimeter. Going to see about warranty.

Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM solar charging problems?

Recently swapped out from lead acid to lithium batteries, which should have been a quick and easy swap, but through a misconfiguration on my part I bottemed out the BMS. Still should not be a real issue. What we are seeing now, is that the solar charging seems to top out at 1W, or essentially...

Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM 24V - Power saving mode - Has anyone had any success getting it to work reliably?

Yeah, in my playing around with it the switch to LED lights meant that the lights pretty much could never trip the inverter on, but we are all pretty much campers by nature and tend to use oil lamps and flashlights at night. Habits are hard to break. It would probably make my lights kind of...

Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM 24V - Power saving mode - Has anyone had any success getting it to work reliably?

My limitting factor might be getting my hands on a Raspberry Pi! It will take some work, with most stuff I do in HA being a bit of trial and error, I will probably have to get it all configured at home then bring it on-site to test, and then repeat until I get it working, but there is...

Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM 24V - Power saving mode - Has anyone had any success getting it to work reliably?

I hadn't thought about that. I have been running HA for years at home, and will take a stab at figuring it out. There is no reliable Internet, so it wouldn't be able to use the Growatt integration, but MQTT triggers look like they are the way to go with Solar-Assistant so it would be setting...

Advice on off grid cabin setup.

Also, yes taking a boat to get to the cabin is a PITA but so far it is worth it. It is an island with only one other cabin on it owned by another set of friends. Often have three families, six kids, four dogs on the island.

Advice on off grid cabin setup.

So, looping back to my orginal post. Based on what people have said. Growatt SPF 3000LVM 24V - Max 2000W solar panels - I am paying for a cheap price of the Growatt by having high no load consumption on the inverter, so if I can turn off the inverter overnight that will be a big power savings...

Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM 24V - Power saving mode - Has anyone had any success getting it to work reliably?

At the title states, I have a Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM 24V system. Currently the inverter is always on, mainly because I have a fridge running all the time, but I am looking at hooking up a 24vdc fridge instead, and the rest of my loads would be intermittent (water pump, lights). Ideally if I...

Advice on off grid cabin setup.

Yeah, I went into it full well knowing that the biggest challenge will likely be the dynamics of co-owning the property. Remote is relative. An hour drive from home, and then short boat ride to the cottage on an island. Because it is an island, the hope is to limit how much stuff we haul on...

Advice on off grid cabin setup.

Thanks, good to know I am on the right track. I could reuse the 2 old 270W panels in a seperate string, bringing the overall efficiency of the system down a bit, but total power up to about 1800W instead of 1560W. The battery heating is an extra feature that we probably won't actually need...

Advice on off grid cabin setup.

I recently bought a small remote cabin with another family and have been working on replacing the aging solar power system. Initially it had a Xantrex inverter that was very much failing and I could no longer get parts for, a 1kW wind turbine system that also was the solar charge controller but...
