I am located in Danbury CT
I am located in Danbury. I would like to roof mount on my barn but it is old and needs some work and maintenance would be an issue. It could easily fit a 15K+ system. I have space for ground mounts but the need to be close to the house/barn for utility connections...
I was thinking 4.05 to 3.4V. I will be spot welding this weekend, and will test the packs using these limits. Then finding the right JK bms for my 14S system. my packs are made using 80 2600maH cells (actual 2550-2750 maH if you trust my xtar VC8Plus tester results)
My plan is to get my 18650 system running with a bms and inverter and use it for emergency power. I currently do not have solar but am looking into a DIY system. I received a few quotes to install a 14KW system. They want 50K before the tax credits/rebates without battery backup. In the...
I removed the nickel strips from the negative terminal using diagnal cutters. I grab and roll to remove the metal. I noticed on some of the tough ones the negative terminal raised. I ran a capacity test using an xtar vc8 plus and its in the 2700mah range. bat spec > 2500mah. it is hard to...
Thanks for the info. What do you set your charge voltage/cutoff voltage to. I am still in the processes of finding the best BMS for the price. I have a battery analyzer at work. When I get my first pack assembled I want to run it through some tests.
I am starting the final assembly of my packs. What is the best method to secure the packs together? I have not welded them yet with battery-hookup fused cells yet. Picking the holders up with the batteries installed it is flimsy and tends to come apart. Any suggestions?
Hi,
I am researching DIY Grid tie solar with battery backup. I live in Connecticut and have called many companies and the sales reps are basically bricks. They push you to start a solar loan program and will give you an undersized system without backup for 60K!!!. My first question is finding...
I was reviewing various panels on the A1 site that range vrom $300-650. I see 60 cell panels that have more power than 144 cell panels. The size of the panels and power output vary greatly. Does anyone recommend a panel that has the smallest size, most power and lowest cost per watt?
I have a few questions!
What charge/cutoff voltage is typically used for 18650 batteries to maximize battery life and maintain a usable storage capacity. Can anyone recommend a decent inverter to use?
Has anyone found the "perfect" balance between low/high voltage values to increase battery...
What BMS can be used for a 48V 14S lion and possibly a 15S+ LIFOPO4 system. I am putting together my 18650 14Sx80P system together and want a BMS that can handle this size system (10KW max). The plan is to get my 18650 up and running and in the future when I win the lotto I can purchase...
I was worried that since I moved the negative terminal housing it may have done something internally. Are there any other tests I can run to verify they are OK?
I am looking for a US based supplier for the JK-B2A24S20P for my 14S 80P battery. Amazon has is listed from $287to $900. A website (Docan Power) indicates they have US stock for $226. Can anyone recommend a cost effective reliable supplier?
