I suspect the EB55 connector is a DC7909, but does it have the (strange) requirement that's needed to function like the other models (shunting pin and inner sleeve(?))? Anyone have a way to connect the EB55 to 12V via that connector? I'm considering building a DC7909 cable to Anderson or to MC4...
Any diagrams showing where in line the BatteryProtect can be? Right after the battery or in line with the DC-DC charger would be fine (as long as in-->out is setup in the right orientation)?
I’m doing this in phases, so it’s just a rooftop tent and the components (diagram above); they will be temporarily mounted for a season or two for a fridge and lights. Eventually it will be a cab-over type like Super Pacific or others. Once the camper is in place, I will go to the second phase...
Reusing this throwaway post to put up a draft of the diagram with actual components, perhaps not exactly the orientation, but roughly. It’s definitely a temporary layout as more components and wiring get upgraded.
Yes, I have one and the printout manual. There’s nothing out there specifically like a typical system (even a simple one with an alternator charger or even that, plus an MPPT), but it does seem obvious anywhere before the loads (yes, except with an inverter).
I think I might be dumb, but the 'out' is going to the batteries in that schematic, which is not what we have been discussing, and indicated as unsupported in the manual?
I never found an answer to this but a DC-DC charger in parallel ("behind" the loads) would be fine (ex.: DC-DC charger connected --> to battery, (then distribution or direct) --> to the BatteryProtect and then --> to the loads)? Thanks! (with the appropriate fusing in the right places, etc.)
Nothing definitive; Bluetti referred me to their D0505S charging enhancer, which I suspect is because that input is expecting 25-27V, which you could supply with a DCDC converter. All in all might not be worth the effort — though I suspect others may be wondering “why not?”
I looked at the Explorist Life's diagram as the penultimate version I'd build out (and be able to move to a van or whatever scenario). That version has a Multiplus, solar arrays, and AC/DC outlets. For now, I'm trying to go lean, so help me validate my meager build:
100Ah Litime (can add...
Huh. Well, much appreciation for some of your directions, though I guess those schematics are not much use to me ?.
Other thoughts on a diagram (simple DC-DC alternator charger + battery + BatteryProtect; MPPT as an option) ?
Just confirming, I guess I'm fairly confident a BatteryProtect...
