Awesome. The one thing I was wondering was "amps", as amps are not necessarily a "thing" but rather a flow that happens. Thanks to all I now know what to look for (temp coefficients) to further calculate as well. A harder question to answer is the NMOT business (as these panels are tested SCT...

0C is a delta of 25C ? .... Anyway,... Awesome. Calcs out just as you did. ... just can't internalize why 25. (25 C celsius? which is 77 degrees F) (Does this number represent "their" test temperature... as a starting reference point?) ------ In any case I will use 15 or 12 degrees F...

above is my "Solar Generators" specs. I was shooting for the max it would take. Pretty much this thing is just for emergencies (3,600 W / 7,000 W Surge / 3,072 Wh.) I figured I'm already late in (the end time game... and I will definitely say it is "very" soon. Anymore on that and I would...

Thank you very much,... I'll go with it. ...(didn't realize your chart was in celcius?) -20C = (-4 F) .... Still not sure where yo got 45 but ok. ...Ya'll sound like you know your stuff for sure. Got to learn these calcs. In any case,... Thanks again. PS: I see now: -20 to 20 = (20)...

Basically chose the 4 panels at once because of the shipping. To do $440 to ship two panels (from Solar Power Store in Canada) all over again doesn't make sen$e. I am having a hard time finding anyone who will sell single panels...(without having to buy 10 min) ...or I see minimum of 4 but...

,... No, I really wasn't asking if my Solar Generator's MPPT could handle but thanks,... good to know! I was really asking if it is too risky to "assume" the "real world" panel output wouldn't go higher...... Silly question. Yes, I could understand the famous 1.25 (like overdoing for safety as...

    150 V / 15 A / 2,100 W --- Max ... I have done some calcs and found the 2 panels (I bought them $193 each Xs 2 = $387 at The Solar Power Store / Canada) and plans for 4 (570W MAPLE LEAF - All Black bifacial, ) (DATA SHEET -...

I'm new to this and 2S1P meant 2 Panels Series / 1 Panel Parallel = (EXAMPLE: 15 Amp Panels) ...The 2 in series would not increase amps 15 A .... But would the last panel "ADD" 15 A more? ( + & - would be connected to + to + / - to - )... Would think my 15 amps will then add 15 amps.

    I bought the OUPES MEGA 3 ($1,800) - 3,600 W / 7,000 W Surge - 3072 wh -- (Solar Input: 0-150 V / 2,100 W / 15 A)
  • Post in thread: Safe to use NMOT ? vs sct

Oh,... OK, Thanks. Why would 1 panel in parallel pull the system down? (like batteries) ... Would 2 after in parallel be better? (I was reccomended by a company to do 2S 2P. (575 Watters) Pretty much my plan was to just stick to series. (and mindful of partial shade) .... I never thought of...

I have 15A Max I can go. (you said amps variable?) (or "The" Variable) (if parralell). ... Looks like Im stuck with series connected only via my limited amps so. --- Thanks,... Good to know I might not get into trouble.... if some "SCT" is 25% high.
  • Post in thread: Safe to use NMOT ? vs sct

Thanks. Imp = Max Amps Possible? ....Voc (Voltage Open Circuit) ... I don't I ever saw a chart for various "Temperatures" but I'll look. Thank you.
  • Post in thread: Safe to use NMOT ? vs sct

One problem about parallel is my 15A Max. (Am I wrong?) 2 Panels in series = 15 Amps .... As soon as I connect "another" panel(s) in parallel I will then start "adding" amps to this 15. An actual company recommended this 2S2P with 575W... This is why I assumed I'm stuck with series...

Oh! Now I can calculate precisely! Thank you.
  • Post in thread: Safe to use NMOT ? vs sct

QUESTION: Can I go with the NMOT (Real World Conditions) as opposed to the SCT (Optimal Conditions) or is it too risky or do I definitely risk over voltage (Damage to my Solar Generator) at colder temperatures when the panel generates more? .... Is there a max stated on the panel that it will...
  • Post in thread: Safe to use NMOT ? vs sct

Yeah, no worry to be critical. It's a wimpy generator, no real storage, not real portable at 90lbs. Not a system at all really.
  • Post in thread: Safe to use NMOT ? vs sct

You make a good point as well,... 4 X 8 sheet of freaking plywood! ... Gotta re think indeed. 3 smaller in series / Pair of later. --- Sheeze. /// Sounding like I should get my $387 back from Solar Power Store and re think this here thing.
