Hi Lt Dan. I'm with you. Just got HA installed last month. I'm using pipsolar with MPP inverter. Pipsolar uses esphome and can skip the mqtt right into HA. I'm simplistic, more functional. I want to see that we're using the solar where possible, not grid tied, and if it goes too low on my...
Update after a week. That next evening, I powered off the whole unit with the DC breaker for a couple minutes.
I switched volt meters for a newer one and the readings are same between the unit display and the batteries. Make sure you disconnect AC input and loads to see if that gets you more...
I have 6 panels also. The previous post is likely what I'll build too. Right now I'm just propping them up at an angle on the lawn to measure effective combinations because I have a mixed setup.
Here's my advice. Search craigslist or facebook marketplace for people giving away old metal bed...
It is. However with the many rebrands of Voltronic, there could be some protocol differences that need to match up to the software versions.
I have MPP version 24V. If you like ESP32 you could put these together for under $20 and get Wi-Fi into home assistant or mqtt wherever you need. I like...
I second that request.
I've been trying the bluetooth connection on the linux side with bluetoothctl. I connect, but shortly afterword it disconnects. I was able to query the GATT characteristics, but still didn't get anything. I added BLE passive under HACS in HA, tried looking for devices...
Hi, I'm running two Zoom 12.8 x 100Ah batteries with the 2024 unit. Seeing the same strange voltages as you which is what had me searching. I found another thread talking about reading V at the battery terminals and the inverter terminals to check the wires and they were exactly equal (27.6V)...
I've been using two o the the Zoomspower 100Ah 12.8v since January on a PIP 2024 LV. I wrote to Zooms support a few times and they were very helpful so I recommended them to some of my business clients who were going to deploy a few systems. The client sent me a 50Ah for staging their builds...
Hi @dmking ,
Just performed the updates today for myself. When I downloaded the app, it saved it as KG.apk.zip I had to rename it, don't unzip it. Then even the icon showed up for its apk. APK's are actually able to be a zipped up package, but in this case, you don't want to be unzipping...
The Wi-FI antenna on those are probably very cheap and doesn't reach more than 5 meters or through things. Is your router very far away? Are you splitting 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz SSID's. ESP32's and STMs prefer 2.4Ghz band and by splitting the Wi-Fi it tends to help these and other IOT things connect...
Though I'm pretty sure you're using a Voltronic https://voltronicpower.com/en-US/Support/Software
Some manuals and protocol docs are there too. Did you change entire inverter/charger model of the unit with higher VOC on the strings? Whats the new one?
Watchpower is OEM MPPtracker. The newer...
