Hi All- I didn’t get any response on the Marine Forum and hope somebody will reply here.
Hi All- I am going to upgrade the charging system on an outboard powered boat with a 30amp alternator. The existing system has a AGM Start battery and a separate AGM house battery with a BlueSea ADD A...
Any recommendations for a small invertor to use on my boat? I want to be able to run a small coffee grinder, perhaps a small 2.5 hp vacuum and occasionally other small tools. I am thinking something around 2000 watts. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This is where my lack of experience with this set up gets confusing and leads to over thinking. Since the BlueSea charger has a built in ACR and is optimized for lead acid, I checked with Blueseas and BattleBorn and they both advised against using the existing set up. Would the start battery...
I have an outboard powered boat with a AGM start battery and an isolated AGM House battery. I want to replace the house battery with a 100amp Lithium. Presently I have a 110volt charger that charges both banks at the dock. My intention is to add a solar panel to keep the house battery charged...
Does anybody have feedback on a GO POWER Lithium battery? I am in the market for a 100amp and this one is available locally. Compare to BattleBorn or SOK or? Any info appreciated. It will be for marine use. Thanks.
I think I know the answer but thought I would put it out. I am going to mount 1 =100W solar panel on my boat. The mount will likely keep the panel parallel to the water unless I add some complexity and make it tiltable . Given that the boat will be at anchor in British Columbia during the Summer...
I think a 100w panel is all I need at this point. Just running lights and navigation electronics. Perhaps adding a refrigerator down the line. At that point I would probably add another panel. I have looked at the Victron DC-DC charger. This Renogy is less expensive. Is the Victron worth the...
I live in British Columbia. Of course I would rather not spend any more than I have to but price is not the first criteria. Getting a decent battery at a fair price is what I am looking for. Getting it easily is also a factor. I am also intrigued by the SOK as it sounds like a good battery and...
Hi All- I am going to upgrade the charging system on an outboard powered boat with a 30amp alternator. The existing system has a AGM Start battery and a separate AGM house battery with a BlueSea ADD A BATTERY MINI PLUS which includes a 10amp shore power charger with a built in ACR and a 3...
I see that this battery has a 10 year warranty and the company has been around for a long time. Has anybody on the forum used one? Any reviews? The company is located in Victoria, BC which makes warranty issues easier than some.
I am looking to purchase a rigid panel between 150-175 watts for a marine application. I live in Canada. I have been looking at a Renogy 160watt panel but it is out of stock in Canada and Renogy has been horrible getting back to me to let me know when I could expect to get one. Amazon.ca has a...
The price is $1059 Canadian which is $806 US. Since it is local for me there is not shipping. What is the problem with the lower LVD?
Is the SOK a better route? Will they be around in 10years?
