Epoch
Does your warranty require an epoch charger?
If one buys epoch battery and charger does the charger get the same warranty as battery?
Any discounts or coupons you would like to offer us here at DIYSOLARFORUM?
Yes I'm finding some limited dealers. That dealer does not show a 36 volt roypow golf cart battery. But does show the epoch 36 volt golf cart battery at $1600 and looks a lot like the marine battery box but bigger. If you think of it as 3 batteries that's $530 per battery and one would expect...
In watching Will's video's I became sold on the Roypow. My first step will be a battery to put on pontoon for trolling motor. 2nd step will be golf cart batteries.
My concern is None of the roypow brands (roypow, epoch, or powerurus) are on amazon so that I can at least look at reviews. They...
Purchased a 100ah battery. Charged it up. Ran inverter and electric heater and took it down about 65 amp hours (per victron bluesmart charger). Brought back to full charge and now I've drawn down again. This time it's down to about 11.26 volts with load. So I'm in the last bit of remaining...
This is cheapo sealed lifpo4. No way to test individual cells and does not have bluetooth to communicate each cell voltage. All of which is why I'm trying to put it through a couple paces on the front end. I've been tending it and checking voltage constantly in case low voltage cut off...
the only thing close I could find was on Noah Ark list of mfg's he had a picture of calb cam series but aluminum case only show up in 72ah & 80ah. Can't tell if the vent is the exact same or not. And the calb terminals are slightly different...
A lot to digest. My concern with premade is I don't want a $1500 anchor. All of the brands I've seen are laser welded cells. So yes we can open the box and change the bms that's good but if just 1 cell goes out it is essentially a big nothing. While I am hope full that the 5 year warranties...
It was one Will ripped apart figuratively and literally. Lugs were soldered not crimped and the leads were soldered to bus bars. After wills review, they reportedly changed the soldering and actually went to bolted bus bars and crimped leads per tear downs that happened afterwards by others...
Also curious how it turned out. it seems all the test above except 1 are showing slightly below 100ah capacity something I've seen with other reviews rather consistently. But don't recall that coming up with Will's review. Really liking the bluetooth connectivity feature as I'll be using on...
No drama intended nor do I anticipate this is some great battery. And by no means a great price. What I find intriquing is that this is first household brand name battery that i've seen in a retail store. I see a short time line before a person can walk into store and pick up a new lifpo4...
Ok I asked because the top left cell looked like it had more space and then cell's were not lined up. But could have just been that way you set them in box.
I think this up in smoke discussion link is probably a good thing for us all to keep in mind when installing lipo4 batteries on boat because the inclination would be to put in same area as starting battery...
Contemplating a DIY build for 36volt golf cart as I don't see any premade that are serviceable and or afforable.
My first question is does anyone recognize or know anything about this cell I found on amazon...
It's just the beginning. It has a 10 year warranty and name/company recognition. Bottom line it's the next step to mainstream lithium batteries.
I won't run out and buy it at this price but I bet a bunch of RV owners will. First place I saw it was camping world. Then I started seeing it...
I still like the look of the battery line and the unique features. I'm going to keep an eye on them. Some day soon this cart will get a make over. I'll keep you all posted on what battery I go with and how it performs.
Yes the linked autopilot sounds awesome. Being able to follow contours when trolling has to be the bomb. I went all in on mg 52# with autopilot/gps and hds live with intent to network.
The golf cart has been sitting for at least 3 years as I was tired of constantly fighting batteries. I bought a mule gas powered and it handles the farm chores. The problem is when I'm trying to work my wife decides it's time for a ride and takes mule. So it's time to get her the cart back...
